Epimeletic Behaviour by Halebob

Vincent and Lucrecia's paths of respective grief, as seen through the years after the accident. Prequel to Shedding Season

I was gifted this amazing fic by @halebobgr and I couldn't help but be inspired to make these two moodboards. It's a prequel to their other fic called Shedding Season, which also deserves a read.

If you prefer to just read Epimeletic Behaviour, then what you should know before plotwise is that Vincent and Lucrecia are divorced after their son, Sephiroth, was kidnapped as a child.

The fic follows their separate journeys through grief and attempts at healing under more or less a decades time. It's heartwrenching and so so good, especially in relation to the rest of the series.

Shedding Season by @halebobgr

"Cloud Strife is living a normal life. He has his delivery job, he has his friends, he has a lot of bad habits he really should start trying to cut off... Finding this weird snake probably isn't helping. Probably."

If you haven't read anything by Halebob yet you need to go and read all of it. Shedding Season is just one and it's an amazing read. It has it all. Domestic Aerti, Cloud trying and sometimes maybe succeeding at being a healthy normal person, Snek Seph that you can boop and pet, creepy turks, angsty Vincent, Seph not knowing how to human. Personal space? Don't know her.

Sephiroth as Prometheus

Prometheus is best known for defying the Olympian gods by taking fire from them

Prometheus was bound to a rock, and an eagle—the emblem of Zeus—was sent to eat his liver (in ancient Greece, the liver was thought to be the seat of human emotions). His liver would then grow back��overnight, only to be eaten again the next day in an ongoing cycle.

Prometheus became a figure who represented human striving (particularly the quest for scientific knowledge) and the risk of overreaching or unintended consequences. In particular, he was regarded in the Romantic era as embodying the lone genius whose efforts to improve human existence could also result in tragedy.
