"Acid attacks are occurring with alarming frequency in London, with nearly 1,500 recorded since 2011, British media reports. A third of the attacks alone were committed in 2016, which itself was up 250 percent from the previous year. The attacks are notoriously used occasionally in the Islamic world by angry suitors seeking revenge on women who rebuff marriage proposals, or commit other “shameful” acts. Charities consulted by British media said 80 percent of all acid attack victims globally are women." When you realize 80% of feminist are looking in the wrong direction. Cat calls or acid attacks?

"The De Lisle carbine or De Lisle Commando carbine was a British firearm used during World War II that was designed with an integrated suppressor. That, combined with its use of subsonic ammunition, made it extremely quiet in action, possibly one of the quietest firearms ever made.[3] Few were manufactured as their use was limited to specialist military units." -wikipedia

STAR WARS: The Force Awakens
(spoilers included)
My review with be judging three sections of the movie; the filming, the story/script, and the acting.
The filming:
Upside: The filming of the movie is down well, but is entirely excepted based on the budget Disney can fork out for the movie. All is excepted for a movie franchise.
Downside: The movie seems to fall on its face when its comes to scenes which deal emotional moments or actions scenes. Their are many scenes where the camera is doing the work and what your seeing isn't doing anything really impressive to be honest. The light saber battles are so so based on their filming. There's many scenes where the characters which are dueling get in the way of the camera which causes you to break your attention from the fight.
The Acting:
Upside: The acting was well done. The actors from the original trilogy were as good as can be. Harrison Ford beings the most experienced actor was of course given the most time to shine, in which he did. Carrie Fisher and the little screen time she had was good, she seemed motherly this time and it fit her character well. I'd like to say Mark Hamill did a great job at acting in the movie but to be honest you only see him for about two minutes and he stands there. He stands there staring away, that's it... The new set of actors were great. John Boyega was great for being more or less an unknown. What he did felt believable, to a point. There were a few lines that his character said to Rey that just felt cheesy. I'll say that most of the dialogue in star wars is cheesy but this felt weird for some reason. Daisy Ridley also did a great job, it was hard to connect to her character but I have never really connected to the everyman characters which she has seem to adopt in this movie.
Downside: Though the acting was great, it seemed like it was a amateur's set. It was hard for me to get attached to any thing that they were saying. But ill get more on to this in the story and script side. I believe that is where the problem lays.
The Story and Script
Upside: it was nice to see faces from old movies. It was nice to see a “Star Wars movie” again.
Downside: As you can see above what you are reading now, you can see I wrote a sentence, a single sentence.  The reason I wrote a single sentence was because of how lacking the story truly is. A droid carries plans/map to find out where Luke is but is stopped by the empire which fuels the droid's owner to send it off in the desert away from the happening battle. Just so you know I wasn't talking about episode four, I am talking about episode seven, the movie is spot on when it comes to that. Which is the first thing that made be feel “meh” its not that I don't like episode four, it's that I don't like watching a move that is so formulaic that it's almost a waste of time to watch. The next part that really rubbed me the wrong way was the fact that the characters never really had to fight anything. YES, you see lots of battling and lots of literally fighting, but as for the stories progression you see little that the characters have to “fight” for. The most you see a character struggle is when Kylo Ren is trying to use the force to dig into Rey's head. Which is a horribly sad scene due to the fact that it last about 5 minute and all it is is a person holding their hand at another person who is making a series of wincing faces. But back to the story, after the droid goes off in to the desert, it happens to be saved from a scraper that wants to sell it for parts by a human. That sound familiar right? So it must be great, yay for originality. Meanwhile in space on a battle ship an enslaved human that was stolen by the empire as a child and raised to fight, rebels against them and abandons the military. I thought that was interesting, it was something new that we haven't seen. But the problem was that he finds out that he doesn’t want to be a soldier because the act of killing people messed with his head. That's really cool I liked that until he turns good and starts murdering people he grew up with like it was nothing. So much so that more than one character calls him a traitor, which goes on to tell us that they know him personally enough to know him while he wasn't wearing a helmet and so on. You then learn that the empire has a massive device. What? say it ain't sooo! No its okay its just like the death star... No its not its bigger!!!!!! I'm not making a joke that literally happens. They say there's a weapon that can blow up star systems and the characters say, “another death star...” Then another character says, “no, its much bigger than the death star.” Seriously, they pull a holographic picture of the death star up and compare the size to the new star killer base. Characters see the size difference and are like, “oh shit its bigger so it must be harder” Then another character says, “naaaw like there has to be a small point on it that holds its power that if we shoot we can unstable the whole thing.” Finn says, “hell yeah there is!” and they just run off and attack it.
Finn, solo, and chewie lightspeed their way through the star killer base's shields and sneak on to the base. Finn then says, “I lied I don't know how to put the shields down.” and you're like “oh cool are they going to do something daring to make the shields turn off.” NOPE, they storm the base quietly and run into Captain Phasm and say, “hey your character has done shit in this movie so help us now or die.” Like a true leader of a military she gives in and turns the entire planet's shields off. If you didn't catch my joke in the last sentence I was joking at the fact that no military captain would ever divulge information about how to by pass shields, let alone type the codes in herself. She didn't even set them up like it was a trap. She was like, “Yeah sure I'll help you guys, its cool, no worries.” and that was it! She didn't even try to fight them, she was as useful as a chrome colored cock, there to just catch the eye of the viewer and make them say, “Was that a chrome cock? I thought cocks were only pasty and white?” “hell yeah, that was a chrome cock! It had a fucking cape on it too!” “whaaaat? Chrome cocks can wear capes!”
I will say this, I would have been more okay with the fact that she just let an entire planet explode if her character did something before but it didn't. She didn't even shoot her blaster!!! She said about three lines, it's literally hard to count how many lines due do the fact that you feel like you counted wrong and think there has to be more, but there isn't. And I'm sure you boba fett fans are like “Well hey Boba Fett was still a bad ass.” Your right boba fett was still a bad ass but he did more in one movie than what Captain Phasm did. The movie is filled with scenes like these that leave you scratching your head saying, “What the fuck did I just see?”
There's one scene were Rey magically uses a jedi mind trick after only being told that she can use the force....
There's a scene where Finn wants to abandon his knew friendship with Solo and Rey, so he runs away from it and is about to leave and never return, then changes his mind instantly when he watches planets being blown up. Now, I know that might change a lot of peoples minds. But for story purposes it would have been nice for him to have some sort of guilt that lasted more then about a minute of his on screen time. He doesn't even leave and think about it and like steal a person's ship and flies back but it's too late kinda thing. He walks out a door see planets explode, turns around and says, “well that's enough of that, i'll help.” If you are so sure why did you leave in the first place, its not like its something he hasn't seen before. He says repetitively that he has seen messed up shit, and evidently he was stationed on the star killer base so he must have at least known they were making it right? He does tell the characters how defeat it, so I assume he knowns
Over and over I found myself going “really?”
The only scene that I truly liked but still picked at was the scene where Kylo Ren kills Han. It was good, Adam Driver had tears in his eyes and everything, I liked that. But man oh man the rest of the fill was either bland or stolen from episode four.
And I'm going to end it the way the movie ends it, staring at Luke. Luke stands on an island that Rey journeys too. They look at each other.... they keep looking at each other. Rey grabs his old light saber that was his fathers and hands it to him. Oh wait I forgot, she doesn't hand it to him she just kinda holds her arm out for about three minutes hoping he'll grab it from her but he doesn't.
Conclusion: if you like this movie you probably have said, “Episodes 1-3 suck, 4-6 are so much better.” and if that is your opinion, good for you I'm glad that you have one. Personally I don't like this movie. I think it is one of the worst episodes based on its story. All the other starwars movies that have been made have story and all of them have small bits of formulaic call backs because they come from the same world. But never to the point where you feel as though watching them is pointless because you know whats going to happen. When you watch 1-3 and 4-6 you keep watching cause you want to see whats going to happen. Its truly depressing to see a star wars movie with no girth to it. No story, nothing new...  I'll end saying at least George Lucas took a gamble on 1-3 and gave us something new...

Ah Xian Sculpts Dreamlike Busts Flowing With Chinese Porcelain Designs
Ah Xian is a Chinese-Australian artist whose beautiful porcelain busts explore the intersections between artistic tradition, cultural identity, and the body. Sculpting each statue in the likeness of his family members, Ah Xian paints over their dreaming faces with a cobalt blue glaze; tree branches grow across temples, flowers bloom over silent mouths, and necks and shoulders become geographies for mountains and lakes. via: beautifuldecay
