One of my favorite tropes ever is a sexy godlike being dragging along an average joe they absolutely adore on an adventure. (Bonus points if the sexy godlike being is a bit flirtatious and has literally no friends in his life other than the average joe.)

Examples off the top of my head are Hermes and Odysseus from Epic: The Musical or Gojo Satoru with literally any of his students from Jujutsu Kaisen.

The Trevor and Sypha dolls anytime Alucard talks to them about what he’s having for lunch or what books he’s reading or sobbing uncontrollably about how much he misses them and praying he’s not slipping into a rabbit hole of insanity:

If I were to ever meet an actor or an actress I wouldn’t bring up their most famous film or television role. I would march up to them and fangirl over any voice acting roles that they did for animated movies. Oh my God, it’s Willem Dafoe? Yeah, you played the Green Goblin in the original Spider-Man trilogy and creeped me the fuck out as a child, but you voiced Gil in Finding Nemo. Holy shit, it’s Ewan McGregor? You played Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars prequel trilogy and have your own series on Disney+? So what? You voiced Rodney Copperbottom in Robots. Jesus Christ, it’s Pete Davidson? Who gives a shit that you were on Saturday Night Live and were engaged to Ariana Grande? You voiced Petey the Cat in Dog Man.

To me, those are the important roles.

Doey tossing us a dead and bloody Dog Day plush and asking us if that would help us with anything reminded me of that scene in Toy Story when Woody asked Buzz to “give him a hand” in escaping Sid’s house and Buzz chucked his entire broken arm at him.

Poppy Playtime Chapter 5 better give me the option to beat Poppy’s porcelain fucking face into dust after accusing me of killing Doey and abandoning me and Kissy Missy in the rubble. Once I find out where she ran off to this is the last thing she’s gonna see before I turn her ass into a chew toy:

Honestly, getting captured by the Prototype and being locked back up in her glass prison WHERE SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN LEFT TO ROT is going to be the LEAST of her worries.

I don’t know much about Sonic characters, but I feel like Shadow and Amy would be awesome friends. A girly pop who crashes out every once in a while and a grumpy emo? They’d probably talk mad shit about people while sipping frappuccinos and exchanging outfit ideas.
