Recently, she started making a goofy face in all our family photos so everyone laughs when they look back through them after she’s gone (which of course drives my mother crazy.) Growing up, her father was cold and had no confidence in her. So she worked hard, got a college degree and became an officer at a bank in the 1950s. She is so proud to tell her grandchildren that.
