The aura waved through her. Though the first time managed to get a tear out of her the first time, there was nothing now. She looked almost bored as she waded her way closer to Peridot.

She wasn’t safe on her own. Though Lapis had seen her practicing thanks to the moon orb, she still felt the need to use her intense power to protect the physically smaller gem.

What she had not expected was such an outburst. Lapis stood shocked for a moment, washing this display of emotion before she realized just how much damage this was doing. It made it difficult to focus on the sentimentality.

The water manipulator instead swung a hand, the massive chains of water rising again to lock Peridot’s target into place for her.

She wasn’t focusing on anything else around her and the tears had stopped, whether because her attack had broken Blue Diamond’s concentration or she was too full of anger to care. This little green gem in a yellow dress and pink crocs was beating on a Diamond like she was her own personal punching bag.

She suddenly threw the makeshift fists away and lifted up the two broken arm ships the Diamonds had arrived on. Even though they were broken beyond the use of the Diamonds, they didn’t need power for her to put them to work. She swung her arms open wide, the ships mimicking the actions.

“Let’s see how you like it when someone treats you like a bug to be squashed, you blubbering blue CLOD!!!” She brought her arms forward, smashing her open palms against each other as the ships did the same, smashing together with Blue Diamond in the middle.

“I don’t...feel too great.” She muttered, seeming to notice Lapis was close by for the first time.” Her gaze was glassy and unfocused and there were several tiny fractures around the edges of her gem from her overexerting herself to the extreme.

Lapis was never one to emote much. Even in the midst of this battle, her heavily kidded eyes almost made her look bored. However, seeing the small green gem helped. Just the hint of a smile softened her look as she looked down at her old roommate.

She had been so scared to face her, frightened that she would turn her away after everything that had happened. After a moment, she wrung her hands that had done so much damage just moments prior despite how dainty they appeared.

“Uh, hey.” A shy tone clear in her tone, always finding this sort of thing a little awkward as she struggled to find the right words. “Nice dress.”

She was angry, she was hurt, there were far too many emotions swirling around inside the tiny green gem and they each took a turn showing on her face.

There wasn’t time now and she wasn’t ready, she was glad Lapis was back but... By lying or omitting things Lapis wouldn’t want to hear, she had been trying to protect her feelings and mental state, but Lapis had left...even after she begged her to stay.

She might not have had much metal to work with before, but now she had an entire silo made of it. Even as Blue Diamond rose again and her depressing aura washed over everyone, Peridot remained standing, crying but for a different reason. The silo was ripped apart and the metal molded itself into the shape of two massive fists.

“You hurt her. You punished her for something she didn’t do. You made me hurt her for you. You had her so scared of you that she wanted to run away. It’s your fault. It’s all your fault. IT’S YOUR FAULT SHE LEFT ME!!!!!!” She screeched, punching the air with her arms, the giant fits responding as an extension of herself and pummeling the Diamond, raining heavy blows down on the source of her previously untapped rage.

She still couldn’t believe her eyes but the sight of that special blue gem was the only thing that could possibly nullify the heart-shattering sight of their precious home being smashed to pieces, even if it had been in an attempt to incapacitate Blue Diamond.

“LAPIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
