One of the members from FEX did an AMA on reddit n' this was the response that someone else gave when someone asked what the lyrics in Subways Of Your Mind mean.

"This was already answered by Micheal in the KN interview

The lyrics of 'The most mysterious song on the internet' are indeed hard to understand. It tells of a person who sees little future in this world and does not necessarily find happiness while exploring their own soul."

This is the exact vibe I've always gotten from this song, even back when I couldn't make out some of the lyrics, so they really captured that perfectly with just the sound of the studio version (the one what was originally recorded from a radio n' started the search. The longer one that came from the cassette that ended the search is actually a homemade demo). I figure that's part of what made me get so attached to this song, I always felt like it reflected those feelings I had well n' it still does.

just a game, downfall, ulterior motives, waste my time, and finally subways of your mind. this is THE year for lostwave.

this song and lostwave in general is actually a lot of the reason i decided to start archiving things and even cosidered doing it as a job. i expected this would happen one day, even if it wasn't in my lifetime. i just didn't think it would come so soon 💛🖤

we're all living through history, and its in moments like this that we remember that.

Oh my god 2024 is such a good year for lost media discoveries because earlier this year Everybody Knows That, another famous lostwave song, was also found with the most funniest possible outcome ever. We are so back!
