If I ever end up with a passion project amount of cash, I want to open a cafe designed for artists to work in that has scratch paper and recycled paint palettes along with the napkins and straws. And with little one-person bookable studios with different vibes/aesthetics and with like rentable equipment like typewriters and palettes. I've been dreaming about it forever and today I mocked up a prototype website for it just to feel like I could get my hands around a concrete representation of the idea. If you're an artist (writer, painter, sculptor, digital artist, anything!) take a look and tell me if you'd go here if this was in your town. Give me hope that it will be worth it for me to make this place real some day.

I’ve had to put a block on almost all social media apps on my phone except for 2 hours a day because of how harmful they’ve been for my mental health. Their algorithms know I’m a recovered alcoholic with a history of disordered eating, and I’m bombarded with ads and content designed to exploit those insecurities and weaknesses, insisting that if I just buy this product or hit follow my problems will be solved forever.

I haven’t had to block tumblr though. Tumblr doesn’t know jack shit about me. Tumblr is advertising an ATM to me.
