What happened with the server you broke off of?

The public “ThingsOverwatchSays” Discord Server? Weeell…Essentially, some things were said from unnamed individuals, a bit of miscommunication and misinformation as a whole that led people to believe some mods (myself included, being Brigitte) were horrible and mean while the mods were worried, stressed and upset that things were being said at all about them. It didn’t get far, but it got far enough to where closing up shop felt the most ideal to just break away from the sudden unnecessary and preventable drama that unfolded because things just felt tense and awkward. Everything’s alright now. There’s a few servers floating around for everyone - be it this one, the private ThingsSays server for the mods of the blogs, another server that I co-created and now own, etc. Those that opted to stay in touch, stayed in touch. Those who didn’t, didn’t. In the end, the drama has far been over and nothing is wrong now!

In which case you are absolutely alright to feel that way about how it happened. Acting/pretending like you and your friends were the ones harmed, instead of real people who were brutally murdered, minimizes the situation, and by extension, our culture in a way that I and other Jews are uncomfortable with. I don’t need an apology or anything to be done cause I don’t really know you and I don’t really care about that, but I thought I’d let you know.

what’s the holocaust performer incident?

Ohohoho... glad I’m here to say that. 

Basically, I went on a field trip to a museum that focused on the Holocaust- we just finished the 7 weeks or so of learning about it. There was a performer who, by themself, preformed being a combination of some of Anne Frank’s friends, a sort of OC if you will. They went through the whole thing, and soon I put myself in the OC’s shoes, making connections to people on the server and the people there. And well... a ton of the characters died. What got me most hang up is that I matched my amazing darling, Liv, to Anne Frank- who definitely dies. When we got back to the bus, because that was the place I was allowed my phone, I @ ed everyone almost screaming my love for them and even privately DMed Liv to talk. Soon everyone online was supporting saying on how they loved me too, and even one of the pals there started making Ollie puns to cheer me up- Liv joined in too, soon some of the people were to get me happy. It was an experience that I say brought all of us closer together. That was about a month ago, and don’t worry, I’m okay talking about it now. ~Mod Ollie
