Inspiration...Linocut
The bold stencil look makes for a unique appeal that can definitely be used for future projects with a statement to be made, or a simple, but striking image. That is the look I would use this printing process for. I think that is what makes it very distinguishable. And again, the hand made aspect is what I am all about.

Inspiration...Screenprint
The colours!!!
What strikes me the most is the vibrant use of colour when looking into screen prints. The prints look different to what I am used to, but looking into them and learning about the process has me intrigued to a point where I really want to use the technique for a future project.
This would be a good way to become more versatile.

I like the printing process using master pages.
The “not completely aligned” effect that the result can have has its own charme of something hand made. That is what I like the most about all the printing processes that I am currently being introduced to.
My results tend to look rather ,easy than clean, so I have grown quite attached to that look in a final outcome.

Inspiration...Drypoint
The stuff I have looked at, shows me that drypoint is very similar to my usual type of sketching. Using mostly black pens, I hatch in order to create dimension.
What appeals to me is the atmosphere people seem to create by very stark use of contrast. There is lots of dark space with highlights that set a melancholic mood. I would like to try that out at some point.

Follow up of the “Image Sequencing” workshop with Annie.
For my website I decided to make a rather simple animation of the “logo” that I use at the moment. Using After Effects has definitely become much easier for me now, as I think that I have developed an understanding of how it works. Now it is on me to make use of that, since I really like the options that the program offers.

Drypoint / Etching/ Aquatint
Trying out etching into metal for the first time and using different coloured inks on the same plate was interesting. Whenever I draw, I tend to turn to pen sketches, using hatching as a way of shading, so it is intriguing to see that this process works in basically the same way, but with a messier result, due to the hand made print. If there had been more time I would have worked differently and added some shading to try out what it would look like. This is a process that I am probably most comfortable with, but doesn't really venture too far from my original comfort zone in drawing...

If I had seen this before trying the process out for the first time, I would have approached it differently. Probably would have tried to work with more dark space.
