Job Purpose: To plan, direct, or coordinate the activities of buyers, purchasing executives and assistants, and related workers involved in purchasing materials, products, and services.
Key Responsibility Areas:
· Responsible and accountable for implementing purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
· Responsible for directing and coordinating activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies.
· Responsible and accountable for monitoring changes affecting supply and demand, tracking market conditions, price trends, or futures markets.
· Responsible and accountable for preparing reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs.
· Responsible and accountable for resolving vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers.
· Responsible for reviewing purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
· Responsible for ensuring achievement/implementation of Company’s business strategy and plan.
· Responsible for supervising the warehouse activities, such as production, sales, records control, maintenance and purchasing.
· Responsible for managing and training the store staff with regards to receiving, storing, testing, and shipping products or materials.
· Responsible for tracking and tracing goods while they are enroute to their destinations, expediting orders when necessary.
· Responsible for scheduling and monitoring air or surface pickup, delivery, or distribution of products or materials.
· Responsible for arranging for storage facilities when required.
· Implement distribution safety programs and activities.
· Arrange for necessary shipping documentation and contact customs officials in order to effect release of shipments.
· Confer with department heads to coordinate warehouse activities, such as production, sales, maintenance and purchasing.
· Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets and equipment, and order testing, maintenance, repair, or replacement as necessary.
· Examine products or materials in order to estimate quantities or weight and type of container required for storage or transport.
· Prepare correspondence, reports, and operations, maintenance, and safety manuals.
· Ensure the store is kept clean and organized.
Key Performance Indicators:
· Number of jobs completed profitably within 24 hours of approval of purchase request
· Number of delays due to non-availability of material
· Number of times losses have been incurred due to wrong planning of material
· Quality of goods purchased as per agreed stock level
· Number and nature of non-conformances as per quality standards

Job Purpose: Development of ITE’s IP/RESCO Business
Key Responsibility Areas:
· To assist the Sales and Marketing Director and Resco USA in the development of ITE’s IP/Resco Business in the Gulf Region.
· To ensure the fulfillment of budget sales and gross margin attainment.
· To maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with ITE/Resco, its service and products
· To be responsible for individual customer accounts from enquiry through to final invoice payment.
· To communicate and cooperate effectively with other support functions, notably, Customer Service, Production, Finance, QC and design/engineering.
Functional and operational tasks:
Strategic-
· Provide input to the Sales and Marketing Director/Resco and Customer Service Dept in the construction of the annual budget process. Proposing target sales by customer/brand.
· Be involved as required for longer term planning processes.
· Assist the Sales and Marketing Director/Resco in development of a Sales visit plan for IP/Resco customers in the region.
Regular duties –
· Report monthly on performance against the sales budget and reasons for variance and any corrective actions to address negative variances.
· Report on Gross Margin against budget and reasons for variance/corrective actions.
· Report monthly on sales visits made as per the visit plan with important feedback and actions required.
· Monitor all incoming enquiries and follow up timeously on quotations sent out by CSD/Resco to obtain an order. Feedback on all quotations to Sales/Marketing Director/Resco and CSD with reasons for any lost orders and actions to rectify in future
· Monitor all customer complaints. Ensure all complaints are responded to quickly and final outcomes communicated back to the customer.
· Keep customer updated on any delivery delays. Keep abreast of any delivery issues with CSD/Resco.
· Assist Sales/Marketing Director/Resco in developing new sales opportunities at Oil/Cement/Lime/Aluminium plants, introducing ITE, arranging trials, monitoring trials at site, following up on results to develop long term business.
· Where appropriate ensuring the regeristing and certification of ITE/Resco products with the appropriate customer contacts or independent testing and approval authorities
· Regularly check on all outstanding accounts/invoices to make sure that payment is made.
· Maintain an up to date knowledge on all ITE/Resco products and new developments.
· Assist Engineering Office at ITE and also Resco with any request relating to customer enquiries, new designs required, etc.
Site safety -
· Ensure all necessary site training/induction undertaken prior to any work on customer sites.
· Follow all customer site requirements when working on site or visiting customer sites.
· Ensure ITE provide all the necessary PPE and wear as and when required.
· Keep ITE up to date on any new customer health and safety requirements.
Other requirements –
· Prepared to travel within our sales region as required to conduct the job.
· Will work outside the normal job hours as necessary to fulfill the role. Will definitely require unsocial work hours when following trials at customer sites.
· Conform to other social norms of the countries where they need to work.
· Be prepared to Travel to the US/UK for RESCO training on an annual basis. Arrange sales visits for RESCO personnel when they are in the Region and take care of them during their stay.
Competencies Required:
· Knowledge of refractory products and applications with particular emphasis on Oil and Gas (including all parameters influencing the quality of the product)
· Knowledge of other Industrial process areas – Cement, Aluminium, Lime, etc and the application areas of refractories
· An understanding of cost factors that drive business performance.
· Good interpersonal skills , ability to communicate freely and easily with others. Not afraid to present to an audience.
· MS-Office etc – able to operate remotely using IT skills, create spreadsheets, power point presentations
· Fluent English, Arabic would be added advantage
Educational qualification: Diploma or Tertiary qualification in refractory, ceramic or material science subject. Has a good standard of attainment in math and science
Professional Experience: 5 years experience in a technical capacity in the refractory and/or relevant IP industries. Primarily Oil and Gas but also Cement, Aluminium. Must possess API (American Petroleum Institute) Certification. 2+ years experience in an industrial sales environment.

Contracts Manager

Job Purpose: To manage the Contracts Division of ITE safely and to achieve maximum revenue and gross margin for the business and in line with agreed targets
Key Responsibility Areas:
· Ensure the safety of all ITE Contract Division employees by developing a sound Safety ethos within the business and ensuring proactive safety training, management practices and leading by example.
· Ensure adherence to all safety rules – both ITE and Customer site regulations.
· Working together with the Steel and IP Sales teams to grow the profitable turnover of the Contracts Division to meet agreed targets
· Ensure good cost control within the Contracts Division both in terms of material usage, labour cost and other expenses.
· Ensure good practice is followed in selecting and maintaining all installation equipment from a safety and cost standpoint.
· To develop strong customer relationships and promote ITE in both Steel and IP sectors
· Maintain an up to date knowledge of relevant refractory and installation technology with reference to customer industries.

Job Purpose: To actively and practically support the Contracts Manager in the safe and profitable generation and completion of supply and install service contracts. To provide other refractory support services to the rest of the organization as required.
Key Responsibility Areas:
· Responsible and accountable for active solicitation and generation of sales enquiries from customers in the GCC region for supply and installation business. This will include customer identification, detailed discussions on customer requirements, estimation of material and labour elements, quotation generation with and without customer service dept. support, follow up with customers to obtain orders.
· Responsible and accountable for the onsite supervision of ITE labor teams working on various installation or full service contracts flowing from initial enquiry and quotation process. This will also involve supporting the contracts administrator in the organization of materials, men and equipment to complete the project.
· Responsible and accountable to ensure the full safety compliance of ITE labour teams both to Customer site regulations and ITE safety regulations. Such responsibility will include ensuring provision of the correct PPE, ensuring employees use the correct PPE, ensure site specific training and regular ( per shift ) tool box talks prior to work commencement.
· Responsible for the general welfare of ITE labour teams as well as maintenance of discipline on site.
· Responsible and accountable to ensure that all installation or full service contracts meet the highest level of construction quality and that the resulting refractory lining will be structurally sound, fit for purpose and ready to go into service at the agreed date/time.
· Responsible and accountable to ensure with the Contracts Administrator that all necessary materials, labour, PPE , equipment and tools required to complete the installation is on site prior to commencing work.
· Responsible and accountable to provide regular site reports to Contracts Manager and /or Administrator on the progress of the installation.
· Responsible for developing good working relationships with both customer site personnel and ITE labour team.
· Responsible and accountable to understand customer industry key technical needs in terms of installation and refractory material.
· Responsible and accountable to ensure proper and safe use and maintenance of equipment as directed by the equipment supplier or ITE specifications.
· To provide estimating/autocad support as directed by the Contracts Manager to both the Contracts Dept. and other sectors of ITE if required and approved.
Key Performance Indicators:

Customer Services Manager

Job Purpose: To advise, oversee and manage the Customer Services Department to ensure the smooth and professional interaction between the company and its clients.

· Understanding of Steel Plants key needs and refractory performance criteria.
· Eliciting orders for product trials in Ladles and EAF and following such trials from initial refractory production and testing at ITE, through installation, in service monitoring, post service wrecking and performance analysis. Subsequent discussion with Manager and customer to agree next steps to grow business.
· Assisting the Technical Sales Manager Steel in establishing budgets and forecasts as required.
· Follow all Health and Safety regulations of both ITE and Steel Plant customers.
· Support ITE Testing and Quality Control Control Departments as and when requested and agreed to Technical Sales Manager Steel.
· Communicate and collaborate with all ITE Departments as required but in particular CSD and CAD Engineer.
Key Performance Indicators:

· Assist in the budget and forecast process for their allocated customers.
· Follow the agreed customer calling plans developed in conjunction with the departmental manager
· Develop strong relationships with customers refractory decision makers and ensure regular presence ( when possible ) at customer sites.
· Evaluate and report on all market and competitor related information.
· Support both supply and service elements of the ITE business and be available to practically support installation contracts as required by the company
· Technical and practical understanding of HPI customer key needs and refractory performance criteria.
· Maintain an up to date knowledge of all technical aspects relating to customer processes, refractory requirements and material testing methods.
· Maintain an up to date knowledge of all relevant Resco Products for sale to the HPI Industries. Support Resco personnel when visiting region and provide all required feedback.
· To be responsible, reporting to the departmental manager and to finance for any outstanding customer accounts.
· Collaborate with CSD to monitor and give feedback on all quotations submitted to their customers.
· Collaborate with CSD on any delivery issues relevant to their customers.
· Collaborate with CAD Engineer on projects as necessary.
· Follow all Health and Safety regulations of both ITE and IP customers.
Key Performance Indicators:
· Generation of enquiries and quotations
· Quotation success rate and orders against budget and/or forecast
· Gross margin performance for allocated customers
· Full reporting and feedback, Including next steps, on all trials and customer visits/interactions
· Reporting on competitor activity and products
· Customer Complaints
· Allocated customer account collections and management of overdues.
· Safety record both on ITE and Customer sites
Competencies Required:
· Practical and theoretical knowledge of refractories and their application in the HPI sector.
· Well acquainted with customer processes and working in these various industrial environments on a day to day basis.
· Maintain close and good working relationship with Resco to develop this business.
· Ability to travel in the region and also to USA/UK for Resco training.
· Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate
· Strong safety ethic.
· Good IT Skills.
Educational qualification:
Bachelors in material science or a process related qualification.
Must possess API ( American Petroleum Institute ) Certification.
Experience: + 5 years experience in a similar role with emphasis on refractories in the HPI environment.
