Gently place it on the palms of your hand
Never let go

She woke up
His arms wrapped around her
The scent of him taking the morning clouds away
Her body warm from his embrace
She looked at him and saw happiness
The real kind
She knew it’s going to be a great day
Even though it hasn’t even started
She’s with him

She doesn’t know why God gave her him
Maybe because she didn’t ask
Maybe because she’s not looking
Maybe it was a surprise.
But to her it didn’t matter why,
for when he holds her hands her heart leaps of joy, her smiles now true
He gave her the happiest days and warmest nights
And his shoulders always there for her to just say her sighs
And when she weeps he doesn’t hold her, he takes the problems off and calms her
She counted all the months that passed, and finally she asked God why He gave her this man.
Then she remembered one cold night she prayed upon Him,
“Lord, just give me peace in my heart. Let my smiles be happy and my days bright”
And now she knows why she’s in love.

“She was also the most lonely and sad. She was a genius of sadness — immersing herself in it, separating its numerous strands, appreciating its subtle nuances. She was a prism through which sadness could be divided into its infinite spectrum. She was like a drowning person, flailing, reaching for anything that might save her. She addressed her world honestly, albeit hesitant at times, searching for something deserving of the volumes of love she knew she had within her.”

“They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for.”

Dear parents who wonder why their kids never talk to them...
Think about what you were saying when they used to talk to you. Think about your choice of words and tone. Think about why they tried to come to you and why they don’t anymore. When you shut them out, belittle them, and blame them for all of their problems, you will lose them. And that will be permanent.
