isolde’s father was of a high-rank in the ministry of magic, her mother, a physician. 

she’s the second-born, often dawdling on the tail of her older brother, standing behind her mother’s skirts.

she loses her mother when she is only eight. that’s when things take a turn for the worse. her mother was the kind one, the one to balance out her father’s intensity. her mother was focused on making isolde, hers. their son was every bit their father. isolde was to be everything but.

she’s gone too soon, and watson* and isolde are left in the hands of their father. and isolde is still so young and impressionable. she takes everything harshly because sensitivity remains. by the time it’s time for her to attend hogwarts - well, the sensitivity is gone. her father has managed to create perfect, well-behaved, pureblood children.

she’s sorted into SLYTHERIN. like her father. no surprise. she smiles brightly when she is, takes her seat next to her brother; but under her façade is disappointment she could not follow in her mother’s footsteps as a ravenclaw.

she’s not very talented at much. she does fine, perhaps slightly above average; she’s only really good at talking. it’s the only way she knows how she gets her way.

always in her brother’s shadow. watson* is her father’s pride and joy. isolde was just, isolde. 

the only thing that comforts her is her bloodline; it’s how she gets so haughty. it’s the one area of her life she can feel like she’s on top.

her father remarries when she is fifteen. it had been seven years, and in isolde’s book, seven years too soon. she’s upset and throws a typical teenage girl fit. not that it matters; her father wouldn’t care what she thought anyways.

she’s not open to the idea for the first few years, but eventually grows used to it. she likes having a step-sibling, she supposes.

her alignment with the death eaters shouldn’t come as a surprise. their efforts have only helped her and her family. it’s almost a duty. at least, that’s what she tells herself.

her real passion lies in healing, but every attempt bore no fruit. it made her feel like a failure; and made her look stupid. she couldn’t do that to her father. so she settles.

she’s a personal assistant to some high ranking ministry of magic official (probably a death eater) - thanks to family ties, not that she’ll ever actually admit to it. there’s probably a spot with her name on it when she grows up, this job is to merely keep her busy.

has an “i’m better than you” vibe all the time. how much of it she believes? well. 

she’s now quite cynical, doesn’t open up much or rather opens up carefully.
