His biggest fear is him dying alone His biggest fear is missing out while he’s lying at home His biggest fear is never finding the peace that he seeks And his only form of escape is just going to sleep

"She wondered if (t)he(y) would understand what it was like to know just where you were, and to believe you knew where you were going, but be lost just the same" — excerpt from Born In Fire, Nora Roberts

He said he found heaven, In between my thighs. But there was no god. Just waves of pleasure, Bright, blinding colors, And brown skin. He said he loved the way I arched my back. So, on that curve he built the Milky Way. But, there were no stars. No celestial bodies. Just brown skin. My hands held him. My mouth spoke words, Without any words. I sang to him; Songs of him, And me. Of the heaven in between, and my brown, brown skin.

Unemployment
Gave two weeks notice… Two weeks ago. Today is the last day… Was… Anyway, you get my message.
Brain is yet to adapt. Body still on clock adult(-hood). Morning comes with sobriety. I wonder; the rest of the day? What will I do?
I’m sleepy. I should go to bed. I’m unemployed now. Still going to wake up at 6:30am, Work and an outfit dancing in my head. Then I’ll remember. And reality will set in.
I’m unemployed now.

Mesmerizing Street Photography by Zaki Abdelmounim
Zaki Abdelmounim is a Doha, Qatar-based photographer, who recently visited Hong Kong to shoot the city bathed in neon signs.
Hunting for what’s left of Hong Kong’s iconic neon signs, an essential element of this cityscape’s visual culture, covering HK’s streets for years with glow, I roamed the dazzling roads aimlessly reminiscing about a dystopian past that only existed in neo-noir cult fiction movies like Blade Runner, trying to burn these lively picturesque streets in my memory before they vanish, all while figuring out how to thrive creatively in this organized chaos.

Street art & collage by Handiedan
Born in Amsterdam, 1981. Handiedan’s art combines some leading visual motifs complex in terms of formal composition and female subjects looking like something in between an orientally adorned female falale from a noir film and a sexually joyful pin-up from the 1950′s calendar. The alchemy operates with a mastered collage technique.
