With watchful eyes, Isla carefully observed the man she loved dig into what she felt was probably the most successful thing she had created to date with her own two hands in the kitchen. Hearing him groan caused her lips to curve up into a smile. “Yeah? You really mean that?” She asked in excitement, glad he liked it and was still willing to give all her endeavours a try despite her multiple mishaps. “It’s good right? I was thinking maybe we should do a selection of different cakes? As like one big tower cake but different once to cater a little to everyone?” @elianxbrowne
Eli had been eagerly instructed to take a bite of his soon to be wife's lemon meringue pie. She'd returned from spending time with her grandma and Eli barely got a word out before he was being asked to give it a whirl. Which was not something he was going to complain about. As soon as he stuck the fork into his mouth, he groaned ate the taste. It was damn good, "Isla, this is so good I could marry you in this kitchen," he joked with her as he always did. Though, he meant both things that he said. "I think that's a great option for a cake option," he set the fork down and leaned over to kiss her on the forehead, "you're goddamn incredible." @islaricci

"Did I tell you Elian and I have started talking about kids?" Isla said, unable to hold back her excitement as it came as no surprise to anyone who knew her that she had always wanted a house full of kids. In some ways she thought she’d have some by now, but in hindsight she was glad she didn’t as the only person she wanted to have her children with was Elian. “I think after the wedding we will start trying for real, maybe before?” She added before sighing slightly. “You make it look easy, your kids are great—“ Looking at Stevie. “Tell me it’s easy?” @steviexwagner

Isla offered a small nod in return, glad things had worked out as she wasn't sure whether or not it had been returned. "Of course!" She smiled, "Always happy to help." She told him, before hearing her name get called out for her drink order, "Well, that is me--" She chuckled, "You know where to find me now, should you need any assistance with Christmas presents." She added, before giving a small wave before she went to get her drink.
THE END
He was about to grab coffee before heading into the event to see what was happening around the event. He didn't expect anyone to talk to him, most people did tend to leave him be. With how he acted at times and spoke, he wasn't a lot of people's favorite. "Oh," he thought about it for a moment to connect the dots as it had been a while. "She did." he smiled a moment as Lucy did wear the dress a few times, so it was nice she did seem to enjoy it. "So thank you" he nodded. @islaricci

Isla made a small face at the woman's comment about the Christmas shopping, it serving as almost daily reminder from customers that she was very far behind herself this year. "I am usually finished by now--" She began, "But this year, I haven't even started." She added with a soft chuckle. "And sadly, I can't get everything from here for everyone I am buying for, but that would obviously have made things a lot easier." Luckily she still had some time. Seeing someone standing by the register, she offered the woman another smile. "There are some scarves on the table over there--" She said, pointing, "And accessories we keep by the register. Most of it is handcrafted by local artists, one of which actually works here!" She informed her further. "Excuse me, I just need to go take this--" Walking a little towards the register, "I'll be back in a minute to help give you some ideas."
THE END
"You're welcome," she smiled in return to the other woman, "that is true, they do say that." Giovanna laughed softly, keeping the smile resting against her lips. "I am just browsing as a whole, honestly," the brunette admitted aloud, "admittedly, getting a late start on some Christmas shopping," though it wasn't that late, she hadn't finished. "I thought I might be able to find something my sister liked here," though she doubted Calliope would be accepting a gift from her any time soon. "Maybe a few nice accessories? Scarves?" @islaricci

“Well?” Isla questioned while she eyed Elian eagerly while she was waiting for him to finish taking a bite of her lemon meringue pie that she had made along with her grandmother. She had been trying out some different recipes with her help, which gad resulted in decent outcomes so far. “Nonnie helped me—“ She almost reassured him, “But I did do most of it myself, and she did try it and said she liked it so—“ Raising a brow slightly questioning at her fiancée. “If you like it, I was thinking maybe we could consider it for our wedding as a cake option?”

Isla had been more busy this year than she ever had around this season before. Owning her own boutique had put on more responsibility than she had first thought it would, but she was slowly learning in the process and taking notes of what to do differently next time around. With being busy meant that she was also running late with her presents, so when she found a minute in her day, she headed out with her list of things to get people that she could not already get in her own store. She had stopped to look at a shop window, burying her hands in the pocket of her jacket as it was chilly, and not noticed the piece of paper that had fallen out of the pocket. Looking to her side when someone brought it to her attention she gasped, «Oh thank you!» She said, «I’d literally be lost without it!» she chuckled before noticithe stroller. «Sorry—« She whispered, «I didn’t wake the baby did I?» @briarrosedahl
She was out on a little stroll with her son, asleep inside of the stroller, it was one of the rare days she felt the desire to explore more the city, instead of getting in the comfort of her duvets. Christmas was approaching, and she was somewhat sad. Everyone with their families or loved ones, and she doesn't know many people or have somebody to celebrate with her, except her son. The thoughts quickly vanished when she saw an object on the ground, and she leaned to pick it up and the nearest person was Isla so… ❛ Hi ya! Erhmm… You let it drop, I reckon. ❜ She had no idea if the object belonged to the other, but she was the nearest person close to it. ( @islaricci )

It wasn't something Isla often did in her more recent years, but she had for the past few months been practicing her cello again, and as a result, she had been roped into the holiday caroler group performing in town during the winter festival. She had just finished up for the day, letting her bow slide over the strings a little as they sounded a bit out of tune for her, before she looked over at someone close by. "Does this sound okay to you?"

Isla was standing in front of the ornament and wreath making booth, eager to attempt to try both, but not sure where to start. She didn't feel like she had a creative bone in her body, and watching the others didn't help seeing how talented they all were. "Gosh, these all look so amazing!" She stated, "I was keen to maybe try making a wreath for my house this year, but looking at all of these, I don't think I dare." She chuckled, before looking over at someone standing next to her.

Isla rolled her eyes slightly, “I can’t recall having ever been requested to order flannels, but I will keep it in mind. Based on your wardrobe, at least I know they are somewhat sustainable seeing the people who wear them doesn’t tend to wear anything else.” She added with a light shrug. Not that it was a bad thing seeing she was trying to maintain and promote sustainable fashion. Isla clapped her hands together a little, “You can thank me later for the compliments it is going to give you.” She told him confidently. “Hm I can imagine being a parent does that to you.” Isla had added, not able to relate to that just yet herself, although she really wanted to. “How is the baby? And how is it going with your ex? You think you two will get back together now that you have a baby?” @dean-walker
Dean shook his head at her insistence that he needed to upgrade his wardrobe, "I have no trouble with picking up women in my current clothes, thank you very much. I don't need any assistance with that" he told her, but they both knew that was the case. "I think you should buy some flannels for here, you'd get more business from me for sure" he pointed out, even though he was still buying from her now without them. He was always going to support her business, even if he didn't wear the clothes he bought that often. "Fine, I'll buy the shirt, you've successfully swindled me" he accepted his fate before shrugging when she asked how he'd been. "I'm good, I've been good I think. Busy as hell, honestly" he admitted, as he'd been working longer hours and spending more time with Amerie to take care of their son. @islaricci

Isla was standing in line to grab a coffee before heading back to the store, when she noticed a familiar face behind her in the queue. Turning around slightly, she offered a smile. "Hey there--" She greeted, unsure if he'd remember her. "How did she like it in the end?" She asked him out of curiosity, "Your wife, did she like the dress?" She added out of genuine curiosity as she was keen to know if she had liked it or not after she had helped him choose it from her store.

Isla had reached the point in the day where someone else came to take over the cashier and help serve the customers, which allowed her to do all the admin things she needed to do. Since the holidays were fast approaching, she wanted to make some refreshments to the displays in the store they had already done, in hopes to promote some of the news they had received since. She looked up from her piece of paper, always with a small, when someone called her out by name. "Hi!" She smiled back at the woman, approaching her slowly. "Oh well that you for dropping by, you know what they say better late than never." She chuckled. "Thank you. I really appreciate you saying that!" She added with a smile. "Is there anything in particular you are searching for?" @giovannaxwallace

location: della moda
Since it's grand opening, Giovanna had been hearing a lot about Della Moda from her students but had not checked it out. With a free afternoon, Giovanna entered Della Moda to check out the highly rated store. She was immediately drawn to the unique approach to fashion. As she browsed, Giovanna spotted the owner that she recognized from online browsing. "Isla, hi," she smiled as she walked over to her, "Sorry, I'm Giovanna, I just wanted to introduce myself. This is my first time in the store," she grimaced at her own late to the party note, "but I have to say what you're doing here is incredible."

"Well, you've got your pick here," she said, looking around to the other stalls. She'd never been able to gift anything to her own mother and if she was to gift anything to her father, it would be some free time as she fires him. So relatability was low. "And getting some candied apple I see. Is that part of the locally made gifts?" @islaricci

Isla listened to Stevie's suggestion, thinking it didn't sound like the worst idea considering she really did like the dresses she had tried on so far and it gave her a reason and occasion to wear them all. "That actually sounds like a pretty good idea!" She told her friend with a smile, "I knew I could come to you for great advice. You are an expert on these things." She added with a small chuckle, before her smile widened. "And that is of course why I would like to ask you to be my maid of honor?" She added questioningly at her long term friend. @steviexwagner

Isla swatted his shoulder playfully while giggling, “Hey not everyone can be a gifted artist like you.” She told him, pretty sure most people were more gifted than herself when it came to drawing, though Elian was gifted than most. She thought about the house on question for a moment, “Wasn’t it Brick Avenue? Is that what it’s called?” She said, not entirely sure if she remembered the streets outside of the area she had grown up in herself correctly. “If it is still there I am sure it is must be in pretty bad shape..” She added with a shrug. @elianxbrowne

Isla made a small mental note of his suggestion of trying to enjoy it. "It is a lot of details that needs to come together, so it is easy to get caught up in just that." She nodded slightly, "but I will keep it in mind and try to enjoy it of course." She just knew she had a very opinionated family with their traditions. Isla just hoped she would be able to stand her ground if it came to it. "That would be great!" She smiled, "I'll let you know!"
THE END
"Understandable," Emre smiled at Isla, "it takes time to plan all of this," he remembered when was planning his wedding how much time went into it. "Just make sure you enjoy it, too. It's easy to get wrapped up in all the planning right off the bat." He smiled at Isla as she brought up her niece, "Yeah? That would be great," he nodded his head, "just let me know and we can set something up." @islaricci

Isla laughed, "Well of course!" She told him, "Pastel pink, may I add." She teased him with smirk, "But I am willing to compromise on the colour. Besides, I am pretty sure the drawing itself could do with an upgrade seeing I was like 7 when I drew it and the lines aren't even close to being straight." It had mainly been a fun thing she had done with friends, but it never stopped her from dreaming. "Why don't we start looking at what is out there first?" She suggested, "Maybe we can get some ideas for upgrades even to my Barbie dream house." She chuckled, "Or who knows, we might find one we both fall in love with. Do you remember the old rundown one? I think it was Victorian? Wasn't that in the area?" @elianxbrowne
