honestly was too busy being angry at the world to post this but i finally finished my last kit i had lying around.

was hesitant to start this because i couldn’t commit to the long and short stitch on the petals lol. decided to put my own twist on them and i think it came out pretty alright.

my spiral trellis stitch experiment

done on a thrifted fabric place mat. wanted to make something for my sister and fell down the spiral trellis stitch hole.

shoutout to my fellow southeast asians who recognize this phrase! this is the best malay (meme) insult to ever exist; literal translation: your mother is green. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ lol

started this piece as a distraction; yay anxiety! done on a thrifted fabric place mat. hence, that little embroidered flower in the corner. i didn’t really have a plan for this project - i just drew the shapes as i went along. my husband said that if you squint really hard, it looks like a chicken head and i unfortunately can’t unsee that now.

tried to incorporate my own designs into the kit i.e. the pots, rug and the “window”. took me a minute to decide on the changes but i got there in the end. also, made the cat a little bit chonkier to match my own son lol. now, i just wish i could have the life-size version of the rug T_T

Finished my first embroidery kit I bought off etsy! Ran out of grey for that one flower and decided to improvise. Overall quite proud of my first attempt!

Finished this mini stitch sampler a week ago. Started my embroidery journey as a coping mechanism for my anxiety and depression about a month ago via youtube. Ngl I'm having so much fun. Bonus last picture was from my first week of learning basic stitches.
