“Forgive me if I sound rude, but you don’t look like you belong here. “
One pale hand extends and gives the wooden pew a firm pat. As if the abundance of empty seats in the room was not already so painfully obvious to any good pair of eyes.
“Are you lost? Lots of people get turned around in this area.” Jacob gives a chuckle. Though he refrains from doing it too long for fear of sounding mocking. “Not that I’m trying to shoo you. If it wasn’t for the lack of street signs I don’t think I’d ever get guests.”

👀 Is it ever difficult to run your place alone?
“It can be trying. I am the only one here after all. I do find myself feeling like a candle burning at both ends on some days but I rest easier when I know I have done as much as I can.”

👀 + "how can I move forward from grief?"
“As gently as possible.
Mourning is a personal thing. We say farewell to the ones we lose along the way as distinctly as we speak and dress. I do not believe that there are any guidelines written in stone that should dictate the populace on how to mourn.
Take the time to process the loss. If you are not ready to stop feeling a certain way then so be it.”

👀 Do you get alot of visitors in your church?
“It varies.
Some weeks I will receive troves of guests and other times I will not see anyone at all. I think that it really depends on the circumstances and the ongoings around me.”

👀 I've done terrible things, will God forgive me...
“I do not believe that there is anything a person can do that God would not forgive them for. One can stray far off the path but if you should turn around and prefer to live your life more kindly than you did before then you deserve a chance.”

Did you ever had to defend your church from raiders or is it well protected? 👀
“So far no.
The Raiders have a tendency to leave me alone. I have never felt the need to guard against them regardless.”

🍀 - Does your character carry a good luck charm? Do they believe in luck?
Ooc:
Jacob does believe in good fortune and good blessings. He carries a copy of the Bible with him at all times. Though that could arguably be because of his profession as much as him seeing it as a good luck charm.

📓 - If your character keeps a journal, what is the most secret thought they keep in it?
Ooc:
Jacob is worried about the Commonwealth and its turbulent state. He knows that everyone is on edge and that a tipping point is inevitable. The fear of possibly having frequent guests die or stop visiting does frequently surface in his journal entries.
