I'm still thinking about Fall of Atlas angst ✨

James and Watts being in a call together during the fall. Both are too paranoid to not have some way of communication even though the tower is out. If the tower was still active, they had other people they would've called.

They've given up on any chance of surviving. Watts takes the initiative to call James. He knows James is still there and likely within range of the weak signal. James thought Watts had left already. Was either long gone or blown up in the whale. They spend their last moments together, so they aren't alone.

I have 2 different headcanons for Arthur and James' past and which I prefer mostly depends on what angst I'm feeling

- Arthur was there for James while he was adjusting to his prothesis. James lost most of his body while protecting people. Self sacrifice and all that.

- James lost most of his body during the Paladin Incident. If it was intentional or an accident on Arthur's part varies depending what I'm feeling. But I like the idea that is was an accident. James wasn't meant to get caught up in it.

VillainJames AU: Watts is rebuilding James' body to become a weapon. He is now his keeper.

IronWatts Police/Detective AU. James is a grizzled police chief, while Arthur is a private investigator. They somehow always end up running into each other during cases, and eventually form a love/hate relationship.
