Eyo, it’s Fritz here! Hope everyone’s been doing well! I know it’s been 2 months since I touched this blog and I’m sorry to anyone I left waiting or wondering where I’ve been. I don’t feel like going into too much detail on here but what I will say is that I’ve been doing a lot better compared to September.

But that being said, I just thought and make an official announcement to say that I will be archiving this blog and I’ll be taking a break from RPing to focus on more personal projects. If you’d like to keep up with Gilbert and Reiner’s adventures, I’m more active over on my ask blog! And of course, you’re always free to reach out to me on discord if you got me on there. Fair warning: I respond at the speed of molasses but I’m always down to chat about literally anything!

Thanks to everyone who’s ever written with me and who gave my take on Prussia and Brandenburg a chance! Thank you for all the plots and adventures, for the laughter and the angst. Keep writing your characters and developing them because they’re all genuinely wonderful and it was a pleasure to get to know them and the muns behind them. Maybe one day I’ll write again, but for now I’m signing off!

She made sure to embrace them both tightly, perhaps extra tight, as part of the celebration. She then poked Gilbert in the ribs roughly, but playfully. “You’re as pale as one though, and about as skinny. Are you skipping meals at work? You know I could come in there and make you sit down to eat if you are.” And she would do it too, if she really thought it necessary. 

She turned to Reiner. “It’s amazing. Kind of relieving in a way, too. I wasn’t always sure I’d get this far, especially after…you know.” She quickly took a drink. “But, well, I guess I can expect a lot of birthdays now, as long as Berlin keeps standing.” That made her face light up like the city lights outside. “So who knows. Maybe I’ll be as old as you one day.” Her eyes looked at the two of them. “What were you guys up to at 75?”

❛ Ah, jeez --- You’re not going to go easy on us, are you? Making us feel old and all by thinking about the good old days... ❜ Gilbert sighed and shook his head, ❛ I don’t know, what was I doing at 75 ? That would have been the 1200s... ❜ He sipped from his drink, ❛ Getting into trouble with my neighbors. Sometimes getting roped into stupid pranks and dares, but mostly causing trouble, ❜

The Danse Macabre

Are my hands cramping? Did this take up almost 4 hours of my time and focus? Hell yeah it did but it was very much worth it! Sort of a re-draw of an old piece I did two years ago with the same theme. Shoutout to the Vampyr soundtrack and the Danse Macabre for keeping me vibing while I worked on this!

I actually want to do more Hetalia characters as the Major Arcana so feel free to drop some suggestions and if I vibe with it, I may draw it :D

&. --- MAGDALENA.

Blanket still draped over her body as if it were an old hooded cloak, Magdalena gathered the willpower to make her way to the backpack as Gilbert continued to speak.  After spending a few moments guiltlessly rummaging among her roommate’s belongings, she retrieved her food and returned to her comfortable position on the sofa.  Not caring that the sandwich was no longer at the peak of freshness, Magdalena began eating the most substantial thing she’d had all day.  She only paused when Gilbert mentioned skipping lunch himself.  ❝ Here, you can have the other half. ❞ She thrust the remaining sandwich towards Gilbert.  Though an offer, Magdalena’s tone of voice made it sound more like a demand.   ❝ For someone who is going to be a doctor, you really don’t understand just how important food is. ❞ 

With some food in her stomach, some of Magdalena’s energy returned and when prompted with a question, she returned to her talkative self.  ❝ Oh, you really don’t want to know.  Between work and studying, that was probably the most rest I had all week.  I don’t want to think about how many bones are in your hand ever again.  I’m just hoping the teacher will go easy on me and I pass the class.  I think I would die if I had to take it again.  But how did your test go?  Better than mine? ❞

❛ Weren’t you just talking about how you ate nothing but junk these past few days ? ❜ Gilbert muttered incredulously, squinting as the other half of the sandwich was shoved in his direction. For a moment he thought about pushing it back towards Magdalena but something about her tone made it sound like this was less of a friendly offer and more of a ‘there-will-be-consequences-if-you-do-not-eat-this’ kind of a demand, ❛ So you’re not really one to talk, ❜ Despite his snarky talk, Gilbert did straighten up in his seat and began to unwrap his belated lunch.

❛ I think I did okay... ❜ He said, sounding more hesitant than confident as he took a tentative bite from the sandwich. Just thinking about the test was enough to make those anxious butterflies in his gut come alive again, ❛ It was mostly multiple choice with a few short answer case studies this time so I’m sure it wasn’t too bad --- But I won’t know for sure until next Monday... ❜ Gilbert let out a deep sigh and took another bite, ❛ I’m sure yours went well though. You’ve been going through your anatomy textbooks for weeks ! ❜
