also actually on the subject of the pink third kit, since i've seen a few people saying how much they liked it, here's a cool detail about it: there's actually a specific reason for it being pink - it's a reference to "suffolk pink", a colour that's traditionally used to paint houses around suffolk! so as well as really standing out, the shirts also have a nice link to local heritage :)

i'm getting the feeling the universe saw how many times we got last minute wins or draws last season and is now trying to compensate by having the reverse happen to us seemingly every game at the moment

tbh all this is making prior ipswich teams' achievements on getting promoted to the top division look even more impressive than they already did. finishing 5th on our first season back in the prem in 2000-01 and of course winning the whole thing in our first ever top flight season in the 60s are absolutely insane achievements and the way we're struggling now just highlights that even further
