Suikoden V, released on March 21, 2006, is the last Suikoden of the numbered series. How sad that it had to end on the PS2. It would be so great to have seen more on PS3-5.

Suikoden IV is probably the least one I played of all the series. Have you played it? Whats your take ?

Released on January 11, 2005, for the PS2 its a mixed bag. While it maintains the series' signature 108 Stars of Destiny concept and engaging storyline, some fans were disappointed by its departure from the traditional mechanics. The naval battles, although a fresh addition, felt clunky and less refined.

So Suikoden III for me lost some of the appeal that II had but it was still an entertaining JRPG.

Did you ever play the Wild ARMs 1 remake?

Wild Arms Alter Code: F on the PS2, released in NA in 1997, is a captivating remake of the classic RPG. Wild Arms 5, released in Japan as Wild Arms: The Fifth Vanguard is the fifth video game in the Wild Arms series of Japanese role-playing games. The game celebrates the series' 10th anniversary by featuring cameo appearances of characters from the previous games. It was developed by Media.Vision for the Sony PlayStation 2 platform.

Eternights is an indie RPG. Finally has a sale on the physical PS5 disc format. It's not a perfect game but w/ decent reviews, it's a good first entry.

Wild Arms 4, known in Japan as Wild Arms the 4th Detonator, is a role-playing video game developed by Media.Vision and the fourth installment in the Wild Arms video game series. The game's overall look and feel is a departure from the Wild West feel of Wild Arms 3 to a more modern look. Release in 2005 in Japan and 2006 everywhere else.

Wild Arms 3, known in Japan as Wild Arms Advanced 3rd (Wairudo Āmuzu Adovansudo Sādo), is a role-playing video game developed by Media.Vision for the PlayStation 2. Sony Computer Entertainment released it in Japan and North America in 2002 and Ubi Soft published it in Europe in 2003. In May 2016 the game was released for PlayStation 4 through PlayStation Network.

Wild Arms 2, stylized as Wild ARMs 2 and known in Japan as Wild Arms: 2nd Ignition (Wairudo Āmuzu Sekando Igunisshon), is a 1999 role-playing video game for the PlayStation, and the second installment in the Wild Arms series, developed by Media.Vision and published by Sony Computer Entertainment.

Physical game in these pics are owned by me. Sadly I do not have the game guide for the second game.

Wild Arms 1 for the PS1 is one of those underrated gems at this point. Released in the U.S. in 1997 it was overshadowed by FFVII.

However it did spawn 5 games between ps1 and ps2, a remake in the form of alter code F and a tactical PSP game called XF this series is in need of a release as an updated collection and/or a continuation of the series.

Did you play the game? What is your take on the series?

In case you are interested it is available digitally on the PS4/PS5 as a retro downloadable game. It has some enhancements with some slight quality of life modifications.
