he takes such care in helping you dry off, letting you borrow a silk shirt of his to relax in— it’s warm and when you close your eyes it feels as if his arms are wrapped around you. he’s even more gentle in blow drying your hair, using a heat protectant that has a familiar smell, one that reminds you of when he’s leaned down to place his head on your shoulder to steady himself when he’s lost his composure a bit.

little praises slip from his lips that are mostly drowned out by the noise of the blow dryer but you can understand he’s telling you how beautiful you are, how soft your hair is, etc. and it’s to the point that the tears just start flowing all over again and you swear he almost chuckles something about needing to invest in more products to help calm down puffy eyes if you keep crying so much.

and he does have something on hand that does just that, he’s gentle when applying it and even when the tears don’t stop he just lets out the softest little sigh before pressing his forehead against yours— giving you a moment to relax (and making a silent vow to himself to poison anyone who’s ever upset you).
