every single time I think about it, it really breaks my brain that folklore has a song about a love triangle, contains the lyric "chase 2 girls lose the one", it has a song about how great things could've been if they worked out, it closes with an extremely dark song about a deep and gut-wrenching betrayal (using the word "blue", a consistent motif for her then-boyfriend"), and all Taylor had to say was "lol I made up a teen love triangle!!!" and say the word "homeroom" and we were like wow SOOOOO true, you and Joe are so in love and everything's perfect 😍 for 3 whole years
