And when you return, he'll humph about where your loyalties lie since you're helping the other houses

He missed you, even if he refuses to show it

When someone asks him if he misses you, he'll just get confused.

"Why? They're coming back."

He'll occasionally send you little snippets from textbooks about whatever you're investigating, but other than that, he doesn't really ask for updates or anything

When you come back, he gives you a health check to make sure everything is in order.

Alan distracts himself. He busies himself with working on the car, goes extra rounds in the pit (poor sho) goes on walks, etc. All of Vagastrom knows I'm gone bc Cap is quiet and gruffer than usual.

I'll text him updates so he knows I'm okay, but he still worries, especially depending on who I'm on a mission with.

Rubiahaku already has a fic about this (thank you vio💜we love vio in this house❤) and a lot of posts but I'll still go first;

Haku looks at his cup of water and thinks "I miss my wife :(" He's SITTING in the rain, no umbrella. This man is a wet cat for me. He can't concentrate if I'm away on a mission (partially the reason why i only come when called). On the other hand I'm also thinking of him, he's constantly in the back of my head.

Haku wouldn't last 3 days. I'd barely make it if I had to. I'll "live" but my friends can tell I'm not happy about it at all; if someone fucks up unnecessarily and it prolongs a mission I'll be frustrated, and it'll be easy to notice how irritable i get.

It’s also interesting how Japan has a higher burden of proof on the defense whereas more western countries have a higher burden of proof on the prosecution (innocent until proven guilty).

So much media paints defense attorneys as morally bankrupt when they literally just hold the court accountable lmao.

@cloudcountry do you think ritsu will actually become a defense attorney when he's older or do you think he'll do something else

Idk what defense attorneys in Japan do but it’s def not the level of investigation ritsu does

I could def see him becoming a detective or private investigator if he decides to not follow in his family's footsteps
