I straight up do not trust you if you did not enjoy a single book you had to read for English class. I know they assigned some real stuffy stinkers and the curriculum varies across districts but not one? Not The Outsiders? Not The Picture of Dorian Gray? Not Fahrenheit 451? Not even Frankenstein? Damn. That’s crazy.
#the outsiders was like crack to me at the tender age of 13 i ate that shit up#unfortunately was not assigned any of the other books here cause my school pushed australian authors /derogatory#the book thief was good but i could stand cosi or jasper jones#*couldnt stand#also read to kill a mockingbird which i enjoyed until our assignment for it was to write a fucking feature article on if atticus was#a good role model????#im like i feel like they wanted us to focus on the wrong things there#uhhh i also read dune by choice as a bonus project and was suitably normal about it i think#there were probably other books but i cant remember
