My eternal butt bow has finally been completed! 

I just need to finish my Super Sailor butt bow and all three butt bows are done.

I want to write how I make my butt bows because I make them a bit fuller than the front bows and if I ever need to make another one, I want to remember how I did it.

So…

First I cut a piece of interfacing 8”x27.5” and the satin of my choosing at about 17”x29”

I then set the interfacing aside and sewed the long portion of the satin together, wrong-side out.

I then forgot to take a pic of this step for this bow so here it is with my eternal bow in shoddy lighting. I flipped the satin tube inside out, shifted it so the seam was in the center and then put the interfacing on the inside:

Then, fold the ends over to meet in the middle while overlapping a little (thus hiding the long seam:

Pin it down so that it���s essentially two tubes, iron and sew down the middle:

I then set that aside and cut a 3.5”x7.5” piece of the same color satin. Then I see the tube, sew it down at one end and turn it inside-out and fold and sew (it doesn’t have to be pretty). Also sew on two large snaps:

Accordion the bow body and whatever tail you make for the bow and then wrap and pin the middle ribbon down (wrap thread around the bow and tail before wrapping down the middle ribbon for extra hold). Sew down the ribbon and you’re done!

My Sailor Uranus boots are in progress!

Because I have large feet, my style choices are limited so I was incredibly thankful to find some black boots to paint:

And the blue practically matches the bow!

Now I just need to make the straps and the boots are good to go!

I’m working on the front bow now and I think I’m going to catalogue where I get my accessories as well as any tutorials I use because you can never have enough resources out there for this kind of thing! Especially since I’m planning on making my default and Super Senahi costumes interchangeable.

I’ve had a rough couple of months so I sort of stalled on art but I just started picking it up again while planning my 2021 cosplay line-up (assuming cons can resume this winter)

I now have all the fabric I need to make my Burnin cosplay and I’ve never really made anything this complicated so...I’m sweating.

Some progress on figuring out the bangs:

Since 2020 cons are all cancelled I decided to really step out of my comfort zone and work on a Burnin cosplay.

I’m proud of the wig’s progress so far and it might be one of the few times frizz helps the effect a tiny bit (but I’ll still correct a lot of the frizz)
