Hijack week 2025 day 4: "Please don’t leave me"

It was just a nightmare...

I was inspired by all the angsty art from day 1 and some AU ideas a mutual kindly shared with me 👀 I noticed I don’t draw a lot of angst, so this was a nice change

He couldn't believe it. Not just because, well, his mind was racing with untold truths, useless arguments, and all the passionate kisses they once shared— but because he didn't want to. He didn't want to accept everything that was laid out in front of him. Jack's once valiant staff, crumbling under the weight of a single finger. His form, now but mere flakes of snow drifting away in the mild winds. He didn't. He couldn't.

For Thor's sake, he was the mortal here. He'd flicked death on the forehead too many times for him to count— and yet, Hiccup was the one with a still beating heart. Hiccup was the one who could trace his fingers across the floor, feeling the cold, silky sheet of water from the snow.

Hiccup was alive. Jack wasn't.

From now, until forever.

This is an AU in which Jack Frost Is trapped In a body of berk merchant's son Jackson Overland where he slowly loosing his powers and becoming a mortal.

You'd think this won't be angsty huh? Oh how wrong you all are...heh..

Honestly I'm curious how you see this as, so THEORIES ABOUT THIS AU IS ALSO WELCOMED.

I finished painting my two favorite flying folks

I was working on that Hijack storyboard for that personal project and I decided to focus on their outfits for a particular scene.

As I was sketching and choosing their signature colors for their clothes, I kept thinking: hey, wasn't there a theory or something about the two main characters being red and blue?

And the answer seems to be YES

Now, I don't believe this is a 100% accurate description of Jack and Hiccup

I mean, aggressive Hiccup? Calm Jack? I don't think so

But, in my opinion, there are some similar aspects to those mentioned above in their personalities: Jack is very cunning and Hiccup is absolutely hot-headed and courageous.

Furthermore, we've already seen other Red and Blue duos in the past from DWA, The Road to El Dorado, Sinbad and The Prince of Egypt are some examples.

So... Are Hiccup and Jack a red and blue duo?

My final verdict: based on what we've read and seen, in order to be coherent with the description of this dynamic, Jack should probably be the "red" and Hiccup the "blue", but we don't care because

1. We Frostcup fans like to do things in an alternative way, we like to think outside the box and

2. I really don't want to swap the two characters' base colors, because I already know Jack would look like Santa's elf if he were dressed in red

So... All's well that ends well 👌

hiccup's trying his best

There was this prompt in the hijack server about (a fake) pregnancy and y'all, it was comedy gold. Anyways, to summarize it: hiccup doesn't know about spirit biology, right? So after seeking a very poor explanation from jack (who didn't hear him well so he just said haha yeah) it made sense on his head that pregnancy could happen, and as a reasonable soon-to-be-father, he prepared accordingly.... But not without breaking the news to ALL of Berk... And apparently to the guardians too.

Bonus: Berk believed too close to the sun and now jack is strangely feeling dizzy in the mornings and throwing up.
