↬ Emery pauses for a minute before he thinks of how to answer that. It’s personal. It is really personal, but they don’t feel like people who’ve just met. They feel like something longer, something closer, and Emery doesn’t know how to place it. He’s never been one to open up easy, never been one to give up pieces of himself when he could hide behind pieces of other people and blend into the background. But he wanted to, he wanted to get a stronger sense of self. To be a more open and sharing person, especially around people he wanted to get close to. He hums. “We didn’t grow up together, we grew up in different countries. Recently he moved here.”

To be honest, Junseo kind of seemed the type, curious and a little bit over personal without realizing he was. “I love chicken. I probably eat too much of it.” There was a really good chicken place by his job. 

           it was actually funny how comfortable he felt around emery, how it felt like they had known each other for much longer than they actually had, how easy it was to talk to him. for a moment, junseo actually believed that the boy was one of his oldest friends, that they could talk about pretty much anything. it was a weird feeling, if he stopped to think about it, but not in a bad way. just unexpected. part of him couldn’t help but wonder if there was a reason emery had ended up in his life now, of all the moments -- exactly when he needed someone the most. junseo wasn’t one to talk much about himself either, especially things that could make other people worrry. it was just part of his nature, to act like everything was fine. “ oh. it must be nice then, having him around now. ” he smiled lightly, deciding to drop the topic since emery hadn’t given him much to go on. besides, he didn’t want to be nosy.

           “ really? well, i have the perfect place then ” his smile was just a bit brighter now. “ have you ever heard of the olive garden barbecue chicken? a friend took me there once and i’ve been going a lot since then. it’s really nice. ”
