In light of the election, I treated myself to a little shopping spree #coping. I am the housewife (who recently has gone back to school!!) of a public school teacher, each of us grew up in poverty. I babysit here and there, but it's just fun money.

Just unboxed: JCrew, Alo yoga, Hokas, Olaplex, brand new Shark vacuum (I am a housewife after all), an advent calendar for the dog, and some random makeup stuff from sephora. Might go back to anthro later, gas is only $2.80 right now, but I don't want my Uggs to get wet since we've had rain all night.

Public school teacher single income, we don't qualify for assistance + we don't need it. No credit card debt, we just put subscription services on the amex for the points. blue city in a blue state. Anyone telling you that you need to elect a felon, rapist, and insurrectionist to have nice things in life is a liar who needs to work a little harder.

The current results are not the final results. What you are seeing right now is the red mirage where it LOOKS like Republicans are winning but they may not be because not all the votes are counted.

Not to mention, on the west coast, it's still 6:30 PM. Polls aren't closed yet. And when they are they still need to count THEIR ballots. And Kamala will get a MASSIVE boost from California, which, in my recent memory, is ALWAYS blue.

It'll be okay. It's not that far apart. Stop staring at the election maps constantly. Not good for your health.
