Zuko has moved~

        if he were able to read the others’ mind , know what bomb was ticking and learn how to defuse it properly , there would be no argument happening in the first place . but he couldn’t . he’s left making blind shots of decisions and they clearly didn’t seem to work . at least not when he proposed the use of weapons as the worst case scenario solution . his body froze , waiting for the usual AHA moment to kick in . where were instincts when they’re needed most . “ this is not a game of truth or dare , zuko . come on , man . “ he tries being friendly , visibly more and more agitated , though .  runaways rustling through a closed shop behind them , tripping over things , generally being extremely noisy , created the distraction he needed . almost like a sign . eyes darting over , zuko took the coincidentally timed bait . sokka moved quick , his boomerang in a tight grip only to throw it in a swift swoosh to eventually turn in the air and knock the fire lord out before things could get worse . shouldn’t be more than a headache . he sighed . “ i’m sorry but you gave me no other choice . “ sokka hurried over and did his best to drag the man somewhere safer , waiting for help . 

There was a flicker of fear in the Firelord’s eyes. With the boomerang coming around on his blindside, it was only by the sound of it whipping through the air that he clocked it. He raised his hands, trying to bend a wall of fire with which to shield himself.

Too little too late.

Sokka’s weapon had already crossed the threshold and barely had Zuko been able to produce a before it smacked the left side of his forehead, barely missing the border of the scar. 

His teeth lacked, he saw stars and within a moment, the Firelord blacked out.

Travelling with her friend, Ari’s face instantly flushed when they walked into their room at the inn. This was definitely not a twin room, and she gulped. There was only one bed. One bed that she would probably have to share with Zuko, and she could feel butterflies erupt in her stomach.

“I… d-do you want me to sleep on the floor?” she managed to stammer out, but a huge part of her wanted to sleep next to him.

Zuko pinched the bridge of his nose. He was so tired. All he wanted was to get to bed. Part of him wanted to have a go at the attendants whom he had asked to book the room but another part of him didn’t, in case the mix up was actually his own fault. 

He let out a tense sigh. 

“It's fine,” he said stiffly, “you take the bed. I’ve slept in much harder places than on a wood floor.”

He was unsure as to whether Ari knew of his banishment or not but it was certainly an experience that had him no stranger to roughing it.

THE FIRE NATION DIDN’T GO TO WAR BECAUSE THEY INVENTED STEAM SHIPS , THEY DID IT BECAUSE THE FIRE LORD WAS A GIANT JERK WHO WANTED TO RULE THE WORLD .  [ it’s fun to be right ]

Taking each day as it comes. All threads are safe in my drafts and I don’t plan on dropping anything. But just a heads up that I’ll be dipping in and out for a bit and might be a tad slow and selective on the days I do start writing again.
