Why do so many people at my place of employment, including the owner, vape while on the clock. It feels so weird and I feel so uncomfortable. But I feel like I can’t say anything about it because the owner does too and I’m 17 and everyone else is an adult. I feel like I can’t tell my mom because she’s good friends with the owner and she might tell me I can’t work there anymore. But when people vape at work I feel so uncomfortable and I get this weird feeling inside my body, idk if it’s from the smoke or feeling uncomfy and anxious. Literally crying in the bathroom at work. And everyone is so nice, but they vape at work. Im the break room and outside. Idk what to do about it. Do I just say nothing? That’s probably what I’ll do idk. I’ll only be working there for a little over a month now (it’s a summer job). I was thinking of continuing throughout the school year, but idk about that anymore. Yeah. What do I do
Edit: adding more context. So I feel like I can’t tell anyone also because I’ve known the owner most of my life. I could tell the office that manages the place I work (it’s a chain) and tell them, but I have some hesitations about that. What if they also vape at work? What if the owner and other people who vape at work find out that I’m the one who told the office? Would they get mad at me? Would the owner fire me? Would it cause tension? Would I be able to show my face at work? Idk what to do. I can’t tell my mom. Why do these adults feel so comfortable vaping in front of me? Do they think I won’t say anything? They’re right, I probably won’t. I’m almost 18 so maybe I should be okay with it. I just never thought I’d be in a situation like this. If anybody has any idea what to do, please let me know. I feel like I can’t say anything, but at the same time, I feel unsafe so I feel like I should say something. I’m not going to say where I work, or even what kind of establishment it is, for my own safety.

Wanderer x reader anxiety comfort (pt 2 to first oneshot)
*you’re both students at the akademiya*
You walk out of your last class of the week. You’re approached by someone. The Wanderer.
Now, a few days ago you had a panic attack in class and the Wanderer helped you out, which surprised you. He doesn’t really seem like the kind of person who would do that. You had held hands and he smiled at you. It was strange, but it made you… happy.
He speaks. “Hi.”
“Hi,” you say hesitantly. You’re confused as to why he’s talking to you.
“What are you doing now?”
“I was just going to go back to my dorm, maybe get some work done. I’m struggling with one assignment.”
“Maybe I can help you.”
“We aren’t in the same darshan though. You probably won’t be able to.”
“I can try.”
Normally you wouldn’t take up someone in a different darshan’s offer for help. But some strange part of you wanted to get closer to him.
“Okay. I accept. I was just going to go back to my dorm if you want to come.”
“I wouldn’t be opposed to that.”
The two of you start walking back to your dorm. It’s mostly silent with the occasional idle chatter. Once you get there, you unlock the door and welcome the Wanderer in.
You sit down on your bed. “Have a seat,” you say. He sits down on the bed next to you.
“So,” he says. “How have you been feeling? I… I wanted to check in on you.”
This is a side to the Wanderer you thought you’d never see. The truth is, you haven’t been doing too well. Your anxiety has only gotten worse. But you didn’t want to tell him that.
“I’ve been okay…”
“I don’t believe you. Tell me the truth.”
“I… my anxiety has gotten worse. I don’t know what to do anymore.” You start to cry.
“Y/n…” He reaches for your hand. Hesitantly, you take it. He pulls you in for a hug. He wraps his arms around you tightly. You cry into his shoulder.
“Why do you care about me?” you say, sobbing.
“Because… I don’t know how to explain it. But I feel… happy because of you. I want to see you happy too. I can’t fix your problems, but let me hold you until you feel better.” He rubs your back. You cry in his arms.
“Shhhh, shhhh. I’m here. You’re going to get through this.”
“I won’t,” you sob.
“You will. Look at me.” You look at him. “It’s going to be okay. I’m here.”
“Thank you,” you whisper.
“Of course, y/n. You’re a great person. I want to see you well. If you’re ever not feeling great, let me know and I will be there. Always.” He hugs you tight. “Will you let me know?”
“I… I’ll try.”
“Good.” He holds you tight again. “Let me wipe those tears of yours.” He takes a cloth and wipes your face. “There. Much better.”
You go back to hugging him. “Do you just want to sit on my lap instead?” he asks. You nod. He leans against the pillows and props you up on top of him.
“Comfy?” he asks.
“Yeah.” You lean against him and start to drift off.”
“Good dreams, y/n. Good dreams.”
yeah.

wanderer x reader panic attack comfort
you are both students at the akademiya.
You briskly walk out of class, hyperventilating, tears streaming down your face. You’re no stranger to panic attacks, but you still don’t know how to calm down. All you know is you need out. You walk down the hallway, finding a quiet spot. You eventually find one and sit down, tucking your knees into your chest and burying your face into your knees. You hear someone walking towards you.
“Hey, are you okay?”
You look up. You see the Wanderer.
“What do you want?” you say while hyperventilating.
“I followed you out of class. I noticed you starting to cry. I wanted to make sure you were okay.”
“But… but why?” you questioned. “We’re not friends or anything.” You’re still hyperventilating.
“I just… give me a break. I want to help.” He sits down next to you. “Breathe.”
“You… you make it sound easy.”
“Let me lead. In… and out… in… and out. Come on, you can do it.”
“I-I can’t.”
“You can. In… and out… in… and out.”
You start being able to breathe, following his lead. It gets easier with every breath.
“There you go. See, that wasn’t so hard.”
“I guess.”
“So, what caused your panic attack?”
“I…” You think about it. “I don’t know. It just kind of happened.”
“That’s just how it goes sometimes. Do you feel ready to go back to class?”
You shake your head.
“What do you need?”
You sniffle. “Something you can’t provide.”
“I’m sure I can figure out a way. Just tell me.”
“A hug…” You turn away.
“A hug? That’s something I can provide. Come here.” He opens his arms to you. You lean into him. He pulls you close to him and rubs your back.
The both of you stay like that for a while, until you pull away. “Thanks.” You wipe your face.
“It’s no problem.”
“We should go back to class.”
“Yeah. It is getting close to the end.” The Wanderer stands up and extends his arm to you. You take his hand and he pulls you up.
You two start walking back to class, but he doesn’t let go of your hand. You look over at him. He smiles at you. His smile is special. Something you never want to let go of. You turn back and keep walking.
yeah that’s it. i’ll probably continue this story
