Michael felt blue especially in the fall, around the time of Yom Kippur; yahrzeit candles would litter the earth if he lit one for all of his fallen siblings. Perhaps that was a crude turn of phrase - dead siblings. He chuckled to himself, how appropriate to have to be blunt about that. Many of those deaths were at his hands.
Well, today was not for thinking about such things. Today, he was taking up woodworking. He had decided to go to a local shop where he would take lessons from one of the humans in the town. It was to be a class with around 3 or 4 others, a perfect size for a misanthropist like himself. He was quite excited; creating was a technical blind spot for him.
When he arrived at the shop, early as always, he settled down in the back, waiting for the others to arrive. He still had his coat on, why bother to take it off when there were no other people around? He heard the footsteps and the creak of the door before he saw the person, and shuffled the coat halfway off his shoulders, turning his head to see - oh. This was not good. He said nothing but leveled his glare at the intruder.

on the subject of core personality traits: loyalty
michael is defined by his loyalty. not only to god, but to his siblings as well. if you gain the trust of michael, you’re almost guaranteed to see him tear himself apart for you rather than see you come to harm.
pinky promise? if michael says he will do something, he is going to do something. michael does not swear to things unless he is willing to go through fire and brimstone to do it.
here, boy! michael’s loyalty to the idea of god gives him an obsession with doing things to the letter of the law. he has this idea of what the correct thing is, what god’s plan is, and he plans to stick to it to his dying breath. no thing will come in the way of him and his service. his loyalty to god comes first, and were god to tell him to shoot all his siblings then himself, he would curse himself for questioning it, then carry out the order.
blood is thicker than water. for his siblings, even his fallen ones, michael would bend over backwards. of course the hierarchy demands that he serve god before all else, and he will favor those on the side of god rather than the side of lucifer, he is still an older brother at heart, and it pains him deeply to see any of his siblings, no matter how distant, in pain. this is a weakness of his. if you were to threaten his siblings, you could get through his stoicism. additionally, when he fights with his siblings, he tends to take an uncharacteristic turn for the emotional. his conflicting feelings towards logic and loyalty result in tumultuous emotions and strange ways of expressing them.

on the subject of core personality traits: quick to anger
while michael is a strategist through and through, it isn’t uncommon to see his true emotions shine through from time to time. this is most true when it comes to anger.
stoicism and tells. michael tends to keep his affect flat, controlling his words and body language carefully and with much intent. but unfortunately for him, his strong irritable nature, and his intense passion, means that when he’s angry, he has tells. more often than not, he is in a position where he is more powerful than the other, and michael has no shortage of arrogance; this leads to his fury being expressed through stern words and silent violence. michael is not someone who rages often. he is furious quietly; the madder he is, the less he speaks. he is a man of action. when faced with an equal however, you can see through the twitch of his mouth and his increased expressiveness that he is attempting to mask his anger.
righteous fury. michael has a strong belief that humans are inherently animalistic, and that the majority are heretical fools. this often leads to confrontation when he is challenged by a human. fortunately, though he is quick to anger, he is held to code to not inflict permanent harm on humanity. anymore. unfortunately for demons and abominations, he is quick to violence. his belief in the prophecy of end of days informs his violence.
anger on the battlefield. according to michael, emotions have no place on the battlefield. they are distracting and make your fighting sloppy. michael is the embodiment of, “i’ll keep all my emotions right here, and then one day, i’ll die.” his emotional fights tend to be reserved for fighting other Archangels, since this conflicts with his loyalty.

You probably knew me last year as, like, that ʀᴇᴀʟʟʏ ʙᴜʙʙʟʏ ɢɪʀʟ who was, like, invited to every party, but — all of a sudden — my horns started growing in, and i thought I was an elf, but it turns out, my dad isn’t my real dad, and i have a demon for a dad, but my mom won’t tell me who he is, so pretty much I’m kinda like, fuck everyone!
