"Architectural Oneness concerning different Forms of Contextualism at the Example of the Railway Station Building in Linz, Upper Austria"

My essay delves into the concept of "context" within the broader field of "oneness" in architecture. After the definitions and the relationship between this terms, the essay reveals that the social aspect of contextual oneness is the fundamental and therefore most important one. By using the railway station building in Linz as a case study, which gets often told that it is not carrying any aspects of contextual oneness, I intended to demonstrate the opposite and simultaneously, proof that it all exists upon functioning social contextual oneness. Therefore, I placed my intervention which is called "Wai(s)ting Room" within the entrance hall of the railway station building west in Innsbruck, which gathers complete emptiness for no reason. That is why I wanted to call attention to this status quo and included the missing establishment of a waiting room within the entrance hall, but constructing it non-useable. The Tetris-inspired blocks have no volume but are only made out of steel wire forming wireframe structures, showing off what should be there ideally.
