Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling. eM.

Module 6
In order to create my personal brand statement, I needed to first do two important things; the first was to clearly define my career goals. What were my career goals? Well, I’m in school enrolled in a Business Management program, majoring in Marketing Management and minoring in Public Relations. I have worked as a Brand Ambassador for many different companies and have fallen in love with the world of events marketing, and XM marketing. Ultimately, I’d love to see myself going into that direction, I know the first step for me would be to graduate and find myself in a role that provides me with more responsibility and leadership, unlike a Brand Ambassador. The position I am referring to would most likely be a Marketing Coordinator. After realizing my career goals, I needed to complete the second step.
This was to create a list of my personal skills and qualities. I found this challenging because I realized I kept downplaying my skills and only tried to list the ones that were unique and special. I soon learned that I was overthinking it and I had many great qualities.
My list of skills and qualities:
- Friendly/Kind
- Hardworking
- Very creative
- Artistic (dancing and drawing)
- Loves cooking
- Loves animals
- Works well with others
- Determined to succeed
This was a good list. From here, I combined both my career goal and my personal qualities to create the perfect brand statement.
My Personal Brand Statement
By utilizing my determination, hard work, and Bachelors degree in Marketing, I will be the most passionate Marketing Coordinator at a company whose values are aligned with mine, and use this position as a creative outlet to express myself.

1. How would you search for an exact word or phrase?
Choose specific keywords, and only type out the central idea. Leave out as many extra words as possible. Also use correct terms depending on the word or phrase being searched.
2. How would you search for something on a specific site?
Press Command + F key combination on a MacBook, or a Control + F on a PC. Allows for you to find key words on the web page.
3. How would you correctly search for a definition?
Typing “define” followed by the word you are trying to define. For example, if you wanted the definition of “thorough”, you would type “define thorough” into the search bar.
4. How would you search for a specific product available within a specific price range?
You would type in the specific product you are looking for along with the price range in between a few periods, and click the shopping feature. Ex, a 100 - 300 price range would be “100...300″
5. How would you search for a specific filetype?
You would type out “filetype:” followed by the 3-4 letter filetype you are searching for along with the query term. The term filetype followed by a colon, is called an operator which helps filter the search.
6. How would you include or ignore words in your search?
In order to ignore words in your search, just include the “-” sign. For example, if you wanted to search salsa, but not the salsa dancing, you’d put [salsa -dancing] into the search bar.
7. How would you find sites/pages similar to an existing one?
You can use the related searches feature or use the “related:” operator.
8. How would you confirm the exact form of a quote even if you were missing some of the words?
Using a double quote around the quote, even if it is missing words will let google know that it is in fact a quote or phrase. For example, when the goddess beauty of love vs. “when the goddess beauty of love”.
9. How would search for pages containing two connected words?
You can even search for two phrases by putting them in between double quotes and then adding the word OR between 2 brackets. ex. [”tesla coil” OR “jacob’s ladder”] Making sure the OR is capitalized.
10. How would you search for social media content containing a specific tag?
You would use the “intext:” operator. After using the “site:” operator for whichever social media site you prefer, you would follow it with the “Intext:” operator containing the specific tag.
