muse a purchases a new home and it has an attic. in the attic they discover a photograph of someone. muse looks at the frame of the photograph and it has a letter. The letter states “you found it, it was meant for you and you must read this aloud” or something like that. Your muse thinks it’s crazy and says they’re not doing it.. but they read it in their mind and that was enough to make the chant on the letter work and do its thing. when muse a wakes up the next day, the person in the photo (muse b) is sleeping beside them ready to thank muse a for freeing them.

🌹 what if ... two exes are set - up on a blind date with each other by a mutual friend bc that mutual friend either: a) doesn't know they've dated in the past before and thought they'd be perfect for each other; or b) knew they dated in the past and is trying to get them some closure or a second chance. it can be messy, angsty, fluffy, or cutesy as all hell, and it's open to all kinds of interpretation. angry feelings being thrown out there ? yes pls !! all the things they left unsaid finally coming out ? hell yeah !! talking through what worked and what didn't and growing from the experience ? mmm i love it !! just ... give me exes reuniting again plsss !!

in a place finally her own  imogen’s  mark  on  her  office  is  all  too  OBVIOUS  to  ignore.  it’s  a  cramped  nook  to  begin  with,  tucked  between  the  herbology  department  break  room  and  the  spacious  square  footage  belonging  to  a  hundred  year  old  tenured  professor  the  rest  of  the  staff  wishes  would  just  drop  dead  retire  already  so  they  could  claim  the  office  for  themselves.   but  imogen  worries  not  about  space,  fitting  as  much  of  her  life  as  she  can  into  the  place  she  practically  lives  in.   piles  of  books  spill  out  from  overstuffed  bookshelves  and  walls  are  plastered  with  alchemical  tables  and  detailed  posters  labelling  plant  anatomy.   a  cozy  darkness  sits  over  the  space,  disturbed  only  by  an  old  banker’s  lamp  that  looks  like  it’s  been  stolen  from  the  campus  library.   under  the  light,  her  desk  is  a  study  in  organized  chaos,  indecipherable  handwriting  scribbled  across  post  its  and  napkins  from  her  favorite  cafe  poke  out  from  books  and  journals.   a  laptop  sits  precariously  atop  her  lecture  materials,  visitors  stare  at  it  in  disbelief  ——  because  surely  it  does  not  belong  in  the  same  time  period  as  the  bubbling  set  of  beakers  and  vials  with  a  miniature  cauldron  to  match  only  a  breath  away.   

but  beyond  that,  the  office  is  completely  overshadowed  by  the  jungle  of  well  loved  house  plants  whose  leaves  create  a  canopy  overhead.   imogen’s  more  suspicious  topics  of  research  lurk  between  the  harmless  greenery;  venus  fly  traps  grinning  wickedly,  oleander’s  pretty  petals  just  begging  you  to  reach  out  to  touch  ...  and  is  that  parsnip  or  its  deadly  twin,  water  hemlock  ??  (  just  a  taste  could  tell  you  the  truth  )  . 

during  office  hours,  students  witness  the  dichotomy  of  professor  caldwell  unravel  right  before  their  eyes;  their  honey  voiced  instructor  with  kind  eyes  snapping  not  to  move  as  a  vine  so  seemingly  innocuous  a  moment  before  winds  its  way  around  their  wrist.   she  repels  it,  voice  turned  to  ice,  only  to  pick  it  up  tenderly,  doting  on  the  dangerous  flora  as  she  returns  it  to  its  pot.   and  all  the  sudden,  it’s  like  it  never  happened;  imogen  offers  the  student  a  cup  of  tea,  a  warm  smile  alit  across  her  face.   all  her  attention  rests  on  them,  carefully  thought  out  answers  to  their  questions  with  the  aid  of  books  lent  out  from  her  personal  library  and  a  promise  to  reach  out  to  a  peer  who  specializes  in  a  field  beyond  her  own  expertise.   the  student  leaves,  almost  dazed,  and  with  the  sinking  suspicion  that  imogen  caldwell  is  not  what  she  seems.
