Tuesday, February 4
Last night, I slept for 6 hour and 6 minutes, so from 11:08 pm to 5:14 am.
Today, I wrote for 25 minutes, read for 25 minutes, drew for 25 minutes, and worked on social media for 25 minutes.
I had a basketball game on this day, so I didn’t feel like writing my daily journal post, but I didn’t complete all of my goals. I worked on these during school, using my iPad to write and read. I realized that those two goals are the most draining for me, and when I leave them to the end of the night, I usually decide that I’m too tired to complete any of the goals. Those two goals take the most brain power and should be completed during the day rather than at night. I don’t need as much brain power for things like scrolling through social media or drawing.
At the basketball game, my throat started to feel very itchy, and I’m hoping that it’s because I was screaming and not because I’m getting sick. There’s a really big game against a rival school on Friday, and I want to be there!

Last night, I slept for 3 hours and 28 minutes, so from 1:31 am to 4:59 am.
Today I read for 25 minutes, wrote for 25 minutes, drew for 25 minutes, and worked on social media for 25 minutes.
Soooo, I woke up sick with an itch in my throat. I was exhausted all day, so I decided not to go to cheer practice after school. I went straight home, ate some soup, took a nap, and then took a shower. Luckily, I ended up completing all my goals, but I’m very tired. Definitely going to bed early tonight.

Monday, February 3
Last night, I slept for 3 hours and 35 minutes, so from 1:34 am to 5:09 am.
Today I read for 50 minutes, I drew for 25 minutes, I read for 50 minutes, and I worked on social media for 25 minutes.
I didn’t try streaming today. I’m just so tired with work. I think it might be better to start in Youtube and slowly work my way up towards streaming in the summer moments when I don’t work. For now, I’m going to draw and write on my own time until I build somewhat of an audience.
I’m probably so tired because I’m finishing up my application for my masters degree. I have the entire application filled out with all the recommendations and statements of intent. The only thing I have left is writing my essay. I’m so close to 10 pages right now, but I honestly think I’m going to go over the minimum because of how much a have to say on the topic. I just can’t go over 20 pages.
I did try something new today with writing. I’ve noticed that I really like using my iPad because of his small and portable is, so I tried writing on it and enjoyed the experience. I don’t think it’ll replace me writing on my laptop, because it feels so much more official, but I also think it would be helpful at the basketball games when I’m on the move all day long.

Sunday, February 2
Last night, I slept for 6 hours and 24 minutes, so from 12:48 am to 7:22 am.
Today I wrote for 75 minutes, I read for 50 minutes, I drew for 25 minutes, and I worked on social media for 25 minutes.
Another productive day where I completed all my goals! I was also able to work in Stream Elements, which I’ve been doing a lot recently. I’ve been trying to learn all the mechanics that could possibly go along with streaming.
I’m very interested in Vtubing, but I don’t even know where to start with that. I’m trying to build up the courage to stream on Twitch in general without any kind of model. I think my first stream will be art related since I’m almost finished with this drawing I’m working on. It will remove the pressure of starting something brand new. I don’t have cheer practice tomorrow after school, so I may try my hand at it. I think I’m just anxious to speak to myself for the first few streams…

We’re back baby! This morning I slept for 6 hours, so from 11:29 pm to 7:52 am.
Today I wrote for 100 hours, I read for 50 minutes, I drew for 25 minutes, I worked on social media for 50 minutes, and I completed my two Duolingo lessons!
Obviously, took a week to reset because I wasn’t hitting any of my goals and it was taking the wind out of my sails. I would come home exhausted every day after work, and I didn’t want to work on anything else. It’s probably because I’m working on school work and my application plus working as a teacher full time, but I was consistently exhausted all last week.
I’m most definitely excited to be back to working on my personal projects even though I am still working on school and my application. By the end of the week, I was itching to get back to my writing project. I needed the days off, but my brain can only take so much before my mind is overflow with new ideas. I’m glad to have finally gotten it on paper.
I’m going to get back to my goals this month. I want to see if I’m as tired by the end of it and if I’ll need that last week off again. I don’t mind taking the last week of every month off if my months are productive because this is the most I’ve stuck to any goal in my entire life. This year has been extremely productive for me already, I think I just need to work on my time management skills as I build these habits.

Thursday, January 23
On this day, I slept for 3 hours and 47 minutes, so from 2:12 am to 5:59 am
I read 50 minutes, drew for 25 minutes, wrote for 25 minutes, and worked on social media for 25 minutes.
On this day, obviously my sleep schedule was messed up, but cheer practice got cancelled after school, so I went home and went to bed early. I was lucky to have done anything for my goals.
Friday, January 24
On this day, I slept for 6 hours and 14 minutes, so from 11:05 pm to 5:19 am.
Of course, this was a day where I had a basketball game, so I worked on social media for 25 minutes, and that’s as far as I got with my goals.
I think what I’m realizing is that on days that I have basketball games, it becomes increasingly more difficult to work on anything other than what I’m paid to work on…
Saturday, January 25
Finally, for today, I slept 7 hours and a singular minute, apparently. This means that I slept from 12:47 am to 7:58 am.
Today, I read for 50 minutes, worked on social media for 50 minutes, wrote for 25 minutes, and drew for 25 minutes. I would like to mention that I have a 27 day streak on Duolingo and haven’t missed a single day since the beginning of the year, so one of my goals is going very well.
I got into an argument with my mom and sister halfway through the day and was completely unmotivated after. I spent a majority of the day asleep with my puppy. I’m hoping some of the motivation will come back tomorrow because I have ideas for things I want to write. If not, I’ll do a lot more drawing than writing. Drawing, for me, takes a lot less mental strain.
I will admit that then end of this month has been much more difficult than the beginning of the month when it comes to staying on track for my goals. I think it’ll be much easier once basketball season is over, and I’m less stressed with work and classes.

Wednesday, January 22
Alright, so I had another basketball game yesterday. I procrastinated all day on my goals and only achieved a few of them. I slept for 3 hours and 6 minutes, so from 2:02 am to 5:08 am.
All I did was read for 50 minutes and draw for 25. I did my Duolingo, and that streak is holding strong this month. I need to find a better way to manage my time on the days I have a game. All I know is that I can’t wait for basketball season to end so that I have more time to myself.
As for today I slept for 3 hours and 4 minutes according to my app, but I definitely snoozed my alarm and went back to bed because of a 2 hour delay at work. I think it’s more accurate to say that I slept for about 7 hours, so from 2 am to 8 am, at least.
Today, I was able to draw for 25 minutes, read for 50 minutes, write for 25 minutes, and work on social media for 50 minutes.
I was productive for a work day, but considering school got canceled, I’d say I was very unproductive. I spent a majority of the day playing Cookie Run Kingdom and sleeping. I also waited until the last minute to complete my goals, but I really do think that I needed a break day. I’ve just been so exhausted.
Apparently they’re expecting more snow at the beginning of next week, so I might have more time to be productive then.

Sunday, January 20
Today, I slept for 4 hours and 54 minutes, so from 2:46 am to 7:40 am.
I drew for 125 minutes, read for 50 minutes, worked on social media for 25 minutes, and wrote for 25 minutes.
It’s unbelievable that I literally gave myself a migraine yesterday over TikTok being banned, but now, I don’t even want to go back. I’ve been using RedNote, and it’s much more fun to be on. I enjoy the content much more than I ever did on TikTok, and the community is so welcoming.
I worked so diligently on my art today, because I’m excited to post it on my RedNote and other socials as well. I’ve decided to go by inkbie on all my socials. Many of my usernames will still be inkb_lot or some variation of it, but my display name with be inkbie. I’d also like my Chinese name on RedNote to be 墨水, pronounced Mòshuǐ. This just means ink! My username over there will be inkbie 墨水 when I’m able to change it again in 14 days.

Sunday, January 19
Today, I slept for 5 hours and 48 minutes.m, so from 1:16 am to 7:04 am.
I wrote for 50 minutes, drew for 100 minutes, worked on social media for 50 minutes, and read for 50 minutes.
TikTok officially got banned last night, and I deleted it off my phone because I kept opening it out of habit despite knowing it wouldn’t work. This was a huge mistake because 14 hours later, people are saying they have access to their accounts again. I don’t have access to my TikTok account anymore because I forgot the password, and I don’t think there was any email connected to it, so I was a bit frustrated. Not only that, but the app is no longer in the app store, so even if I was able to recover the account, I don’t have access to my app.
I was so frustrated and upset that I gave myself a migraine. I took a nap and decided that if I was ever able to redownload TikTok I’d make a new account under the same name as this account rather than having an anonymous account where I only like and favorite videos. I’ve always wanted to make an art TikTok, so this is the perfect opportunity to do so.
Because of this, I also changed my RedNote account from an anonymous profile to also match this username. I plan on posting art there and interacting with the community. So far, I’ve had a very positive experience, and I can’t wait to actually post my art process.

Saturday, January 19
Yesterday was the first day of me not completing any of my tasks except two lessons of Duolingo. This does not mean that I’m going to give up on my goals for the year. One slip up isn’t the end of the world. Plus, I know it’s just an excuse, but I’d stayed up very late the night before and slept in. This left no time for me to write in the morning before work. Then I had a basketball game after school. I was way too tired to even attempt any of the goals.
But, it’s fine. At the end of the day, I’ve already worked so hard for these goals, and doing them everyday was probably an unrealistic goal that would only have worked out in an ideal world. I’ve still been much more productive in the first month of this year then I’ve ever been in my life. I think continuing to work towards my goal this month is still perfectly fine. The only way for me to truly fail these goals is completely giving up.
And, since I ended at an 18 day streak, rather than the goal being everyday for the rest of the year, my new goal is to get to a 19 day streak. That will be my new short term goal.
As for today, I slept for 5 hours and 42 minutes, so from 2:05 am to 7:47 am.
Today, I wrote for 25 minutes, I read for 50 minutes, I drew for 25 minutes, and I worked for 25 minutes.
I’m crashing out a little bit because they really did ban TikTok right as I was reposting all of my favorite edits. I’m searching for something else very similar. I looked at Instagram Reels, and the edits were good, but the other content isn’t that great. I’m trying out RedNote, and it’s alright I’m waiting for the algorithm to fix itself or for all the people talking about the ban to die down so I can actually see content on there. We’ll see how it goes.

On this day, I’d smelted for 4 hours and 3 minutes, so from 1:26 am to 5:29 am. The app I used to track my sleep was being maintenances, so I wasn’t able to check how long I slept. This is why I chose not to write my journal entry from yesterday. I also procrastinated until the last minute to complete my tasks, so I was exhausted.
This day, I had written 25 minutes, I drew for 25 minutes, I read for 50 minutes, and I worked on social media for 25 minutes. I also completed my 2 Duolingo lessons.
I was so exhausted this day because it was a half day. I spent a majority of the day after school either sleeping or on my phone playing Cookie Run Kingdom.
Then, later that day, I had to run an errand to place an order for my contacts. I’d ordered them on January 2nd, and they were set to arrive on the 4th. They didn’t, and every time I called their customer service number, they were unavailable. I decided that the best course of action was to go to the store in person to place an order. Let’s pray that this new order comes in time since I paid for express shipping.
Thursday, January 16
Today, I slept for 3 hours and 45 minutes, so from 1:43 am to 5:28 am.
I wrote for 25 minutes, I drew for 25 minutes, I read for 50 minutes, and I worked on social media for 25 minutes. I also did complete my 2 Duolingo lessons.
Today was exhausting because I missed work to be able to go to class. Since I’m not licensed, and my degree isn’t in education, I have to take a few classes to become a licensed teacher. This means that once a month, I meet with my cohort to touch base.
The only issue I have with these meeting is that they only give us an hour or two to work on actual class work. Otherwise they expect us to be completely engaged throughout the entire day while they lecture us and talk at us about things related to our assignments. I think it would be much more efficient to take an entire day off school to be able to complete course work, but alas, community building activities seem to take priority.
It also could just be that I was a bit cranky from not getting enough sleep last night, but still. I think their priorities are backwards and that we could be much more productive with our time at these monthly meetings considering we’re all adults with jobs that require our full attention.
I was also already a bit frustrated because my co-teacher decided to completely disregard my sub plans for the day despite my students needing to move on. She chose to give them a make up day even though they’ve had two consecutive weeks to make up their work and chose not to. It’s a bit frustrating that she decided to indulge them and allowed them to waste more time, but I wasn’t there.
It’s alright, though because I will be back tomorrow to get my students back on track as quickly as possible.

Tuesday, January 14
Today, I slept for 4 hours and 59 minutes, so from 12:00 am to 4:59 am.
I wrote for 25 minutes, I read for 25 minutes, I drew for 25 minutes, and I worked in social media for 25 minutes. I also completed my Duolingo lessons.
I’m way too tired to go into depth about today, but tomorrow is a half day, so I’m excited. As for today, I had a basketball game after school, and I was so exciting. I have a feeling my voice will be gone from all the screaming. We were tied at the end of the game 48 to 48, so we went into overtime, and it was back and forth all the way to the end. I think the final score was 54 to 50, with my team coming out on top.
One of our kids was supposed to get his thousandth point in his basketball career, but he played poorly and didn’t make the mark. Originally, we thought he was doing it on purpose because this was a small game with a small crowd, but our next game is going to be a much larger crowd because it’s our rival school. People were speculating that he was taking it easy this game to be able to show out on Friday, but it turns out, he was playing badly because of the nerves. Poor kid! Anyway, it was a good game.
I also downloaded Wordscapes to keep me occupied on the bus, and it’s my new favorite pass time.

Monday, January 13
Today, I slept for 4 hours and 14 minutes from 12:58 am to 5:12 am.
I managed to write for 25 minutes, read for 25 minutes, draw for 25 minutes, and work on social media for 25 minutes.
Since it’s my first day back from work, I’m exhausted. I think because of my goals, I’m becoming much more conscious about when I’m wasting time. I know that I can break up each 25 minutes into smaller chunks to fit in my small break moments during work. I’m able to catch myself now when I’m sitting and doing nothing when I could be filling my time with more productive things.

For the final day of break, I slept for 5 hours and 10 minutes from 12:48 am to 5:58 am.
Today I wrote for 50 minutes, I drew for 50 minutes, I read for 25 minutes, and I worked on social media for 25 minutes. I also did 2 Duolingo lessons.
Big sigh. I obviously wasn’t as productive today because I have to go back to work tomorrow. It’s my last day of freedom. I’m a bit anxious because it’s genuinely been 4 weeks since I’ve been in my classroom, and I feel out of practice. The quarter also ends on Tuesday, so I have to put my grade in. Yikes… Hopefully I survive this first week back.

Saturday, January 11
Today I slept for 6 hours and 2 minutes, so from 11:45 am to 6:21 am.
Today I read for 25 minutes, I drew for 25 minutes, I wrote for 125 minutes, and I worked on social media for 25 minutes. I also, of course, completed my 2 Duolingo lessons.
It was a good day considering the boiling water advisory got lifted. I’m also slowing down a bit with my productivity only because I don’t want to be burnt out before going back to work on Monday.
It’s guaranteed that we’re going back since the water is fixed and there shouldn’t be any snow. I’m a bit anxious because I haven’t seen my students in four weeks because I got my wisdom teeth taken out the week before break. Then we had to weeks of break, and now we had this whole week off. I feel like I’m out of practice.
The good thing is that I won’t have to do a full week of teaching. One of the days, I have to go to class for my teaching license, and for those days, I don’t have to be completely functional. Being on all day in front of students is very different from sitting through a full day of class where I’m not the presenter.
Anyway, I’m very excited about how much work I’ve gotten done in writing my stories. I want to post a lot more for people to read this year, so I plan on getting a lot done. I’m also excited that I’m motivated to do art again since Im now working on two pieces at once. I’m praying that this will be a good year for my creativity.

Friday, January 10
Last nightI slept for 6 hours and 40 minutes from 12:22 am to 7:02 am. This is much better than previously, which is good considering that I have to get myself together before work on Monday.
Today I read for 25 minutes, I wrote for 100 minutes, I drew for 100 minutes, and I was on social media for 25 minutes. I also completed my two Duolingo lessons.
Today wasn’t as productive, and I have no reason for this other than, I was sleepy. I took some extra time to recover after a going hard all week. It’s my treat to myself. There is also still a boiling water advisory…
