@kakasaku-week-2023 Day 01 : Historic AU - Trapped in a small space

I was going to write a piece for this, but I moved last month and I didn't have the time to actually work on the concept I had in mind for this piece.

This is supposed to take place in the 40s during WWII, in a world where Sakura is tasked to take down a rogue spy (Kakashi) who is well known for being able to blend into the crowd.

Intel is that the rogue spy is trying to get to a high profile target that will be arriving at a hotel at the end of the week and, as Sakura stays at said hotel in hopes of catching the rogue spy before he kills the target, she unintentionally befriends said spy.

They are in a utility closet. You do the math.

The drawing was just supposed to be a scene from the situation and the short drabble was supposed to be a snapshot of that reality, but life got in the way. I hope I can expand on this idea properly once I finish getting settled.

Hopefully people will be able to participate more than I was able. I still have 2 more drawings to post for this week, tho!

I love the idea of the Haruno clan

I couldn't help but think of it more and imagine they were Rivals with the Yamanaka because the Inner was a perfect defense against them

And the Yamanaka allied with the Uzumaki to take them down

Also throwing in my own HC that they were a Samurai clan and sister clans with the Hatake. Both known for being ruthless, their use of Chakra blades, and being sensors (for Haruno because of their chakra control)

so they had fallen together largely around the end of the Warring Clan Era, where the Hatake attempted to continue by joining Konoha but the Harunos mostly became merchants

Sakura as a descendant of the Clan Head, technically passing it on to her

(Because we need some more connection between her and Kakashi-sensei so she doesn't seem like the sidelined member of team 7!)

I love the idea of Team 7 being entirely made up of the Last Members of their Clan (and also Heads of said Clans)

This is my own personal headcanon AU (and hopefully something I'll write in the future) but what about everyone in the Haruno clan having their own Inner persona

But because they're usually manifestations of the person's "negative" emotions, the Haruno clan seals the Inner persona away. And when that seal is broken, the Inner persona becomes the main personality

So... what if during the Chunin exams, Ino accidently breaks that seal, releasing Inner Sakura, and now allowing an extremely angry and intelligent Sakura onto Konoha

This is actually SO interesting!! Imagine that being the reason Sakura was put on team seven with an Uzumaki - a clan of sealing specialists. (That works better if Naruto does get any info about his clan and some sealing training for that).

But also! The Haruno clan being a little more well known, maybe for extremely precise chakra control. Imagine the clan arcs we could have had?? At least one focused on each team 7 clan. Like the Uchiha-Senju flashbacks.

And Inner Sakura still getting mad at the fame and attention the Uchiha and Uzumaki get compared to her clan... I mean they would probably try to hide the inner personality and make themselves less know on purpose, but still... ✨️imagine✨️
