my bf has many interesting stories and observations from his new job as a 911 operator
my favorite is how meandering people are, even in the midst of a terrible emergency
they respond to “what is the emergency” with “well, the thing is, four weeks ago–”
and then he’s like “WHAT IS THE EMERGENCY RIGHT NOW”
and they’re like “so what happened this morning was, i said to my wife, i said–”
“WHAT IS CURRENTLY HAPPENING AT THIS MOMENT”
“oh i’m having a heart attack”
my second favorite is how specific he has to get sometimes
like, “what is your emergency?”
“i’m sitting in a pool of blood.”
“… is it… your blood?”
“yes i think so”
“do you know where it’s coming from?”
“probably the stab wound”
“have you been stabbed?”
“oh yah definitely”

Your role in society could very easily be replaced by a Filipina mail order bride. They're far more submissive because that part of the world never had a feminist movement and they look more childlike so if anything, trad men would prefer them
You mean *your* role in society, lol.

Doesn't fascinating womanhood tell women to mimic the behavior of small children? I suppose that'll work if you're trying to attract pedos
Here's that section of the book condensed for you, since you are determined to disparage something you haven't read. The book means "childlikeness" in the same way the bible means it. It even quotes the bible verse before going into it. It does not mean "look and act like a child." It means "stop being controlling and manipulative."
Here goes:
Childlike anger: "Develop character to eliminate the ugly emotions of hate, bitterness, sarcasm, or resentment" which is essentially... rid yourself of spite and malice. This should be something everyone should want to do.
Asking for what you want: don't beg, demand, convince, hint, or use passive language. Be forthright in asking for what you want. Basically - don't manipulate or force your husband to give you things. You shouldn't have to. And if you feel like you have to... yikes.
Childlike joy: receive gifts with appreciation. Try to find joy in the little things in life. Like a sunny day or a rainbow... so that you're a pleasure to be around. Nobody likes a complainer. Again, this is universal.
Childlike trust: "To trust in his ability to safely lead you, guide you, protect you, provide for you, and that he has the capabilities of doing so." In other words, respect your husband and have faith in him. If you don't respect or trust your husband... why are you married to him?
Outspokenness: be honest and direct in conversation, not evasive. Again, you don't have to manipulate, you can just live. It's more simple this way.
Changefulness: Let your emotions be as they are in the moment. Don't hold on to past grudges. Nobody likes grudge holding in the first place, and it's definitely not a Christian thing to do. If you're in a relationship that has tons of cold wars, consider trying this.
Youthful manner: maintain enthusiasm and interest in life and don't slouch. This goes back to childlike joy. Nobody likes a grump.
Youthful appearance: don't get stuck in wearing out of date styles, keep up with the times. Exercise and try to stay healthy, try not to gain too much weight. Basically don't be an old bag lady. Try to look nice. The new edition of the book is better about this one.

It sounds like "femininity" is just about being a screaming, infantile, hormonal mess who can't do anything by herself and needs to be babied.
Girl have you read fascinating womanhood? No? Then kindly shut up :)

Do you think the government is controlling the weather?
It really depends on where you live. My local government and the government of the province I used to live in have straight up come out and said that they do. I also know ppl who work at westjet and air canada and they confirmed.

Need this site to understand that "The Prince of Egypt" is BOTH a Jewish and Christian movie. Let no one rob it from the Jews, but us christians literally owe our faith to the same God who saw to and led the Exodus. The Ten Commandments are still in effect, Jesus did not abolish the law but fulfilled it, and to get to Jesus we needed Moses.

Children's media - media as a whole - has failed me in not telling me just how intelligent babies really are in their own way. I grew up with the "they grow up so fast", but not once can I recall a "your baby will observe those things you couldn't conceive of him observing. He'll know who in the family drinks what drinks, he'll understand conversation before he can speak back with you, and he'll experience emotions that neither of you will really understand and he'll be mad at you but need you so close to him while he's mad."
Babies are so, so smart in their own special way, there are years worth of sermons in just this first year and a half alone.
