Holiday Scrapniks!! Fun fact, I actually drew most of these last year, but decided not to post because the scrapnik island miniseries hadn't finished yet. We wanted to keep people in suspense with whether or not things were going to be okay in the end! A mean little lie for a happy ending >:^)

NOTES:

Belle:

At first I wanted to use Belle’s beta design (the one with the green apron), but I had similar plans for Jewel and didn’t want to be repetitive, so I just simplified her modern design and changed the overalls for a skirt. But then, just as I had finished her design I randomly thought of Mickey Mouse (probably because Belle reminds me of Pinocchio) and it just made sense, so I changed her design one last time.

also I know that cannonically Classic Belle wouldn’t exist but I don’t care, I’m just doing this for fun :))

Jewel:

My headcannon is that modern Jewel wears her working clothes, which she probably wouldn’t wear as a child, so I gave her a whole different outfit for her Classic version, very inspired by her beta design. Still, I tried to make it slightly resemble her modern outfit, so I added the white collar and the orange socks.

Quick question:

I know I haven’t given it much focus this far, but did y’all catch onto the foundfamily/sibling stuff between Belle and the Mecha’s or the father daughter relation between her and Sigma?

No real reason for asking this, I’m just curious if I made that clear in “Scrape Off the Rust” and “The People You Meet”

not to do them any disservice, they are like genuine actual legitimate friends who respect eachother beyond just their mutual of disdain for eggman. but surely they must joke about it..... we didn't really get to see much of them being realbuds at the end of scrapnik but i want to believe they are So homies now
