Syviis stared unimpressed at the elder. It mattered not what he wore; she wanted to get there, conscript the templars and return to Skyhold. Every minute wasted on the squabbles of humans is another where Corypheus gains an advantage. 

Running a hand through her hair and stared at the other with emerald hues; they lacked the hyper-activeness of her distant cousin; the one who seem so fond of this particular human. Syviis did not share in such affections for humans, nor did she for others. 

“Atreus, do you not remember your training as a templar?” she asked as she crossed her arms. 

“Pack sensibly, prepare yourself and expect the unexpected. We will not be slowing down to accommodate you or any of the older soldiers. Keep this in mind when you prepare for the mission.”

To say Atreus was relieved—and surprised—that he was being taken to Therinfal Redoubt would be an understatement. After the events in Orlais he was so very worried for the state of the Templar Order. He wanted to be there for his comrades in arms for the bond of the Order held them together. “It will nae take me long, Inquisitor.” He rumbled in reply, dipping his head respectfully. “Ah’ve always got a travel pack ready just in case of emergencies.” A pause.

“Do you suspect there will be combat, or are we hoping for a peaceful solution?”

Aka: Do you think I should change into my combat leathers?

He’d change into them regardless but he wanted to know the Inquisitor’s stance towards the Templars and whether or not the Inquisition will be hostile towards them.

Over my time here, I’ve seen lots of these posts float about in the ether.  As a way to make a more cohesive fandom, I think it’s time to try to approach this and commit again.  I will be making a sideblog with a comprehensive masterlist of all characters in Dragon Age roleplay. Anyone, of course, can participate. When I have made the blog, I will try to update entries as thoroughly as I can. Please be patient and realize sometimes in the time it takes me to do things, new stars have formed.

Syviis came to a stop just at the top of the stairway where they were heading. It would be the spot she would come to meditate. She looked over the scenery as she listened to the commander speak. 

“I come here to clear  my head and to pray to Mythal. Is that why you are here; commander? Are you praying to Andraste?”

     With hands tucked at the small of his back, he offered a nod to the elf with a comfortable sense of assurance. ❝ From time to time I find myself wandering. It is usually to clear my mind rather than rifle through its contents. I wasn’t aware you walked these sections of the battlements either, Inquisitor. ❞

“It doesn’t matter what people believe. The Inquisition is the closest to stopping Corypheus and his plan to becoming a god.” Syviis replied in her usual matter of fact tone; her face was taciturn and stoic. It was of no consequence what the others failed to believe. She was Mythal’s champion, and she will complete her mission with or without the support of others. 

“Furthermore, if you’re here to help, that’s fine. I don’t care what your past is or what you’ve done. I have no interest in the territorial squabbles of humans. As long as the job gets done, I don’t care about the rest.”

“Why wouldn’t I be?” the red head asked as she crossed her arms. “This is my mission, Cullen. It must be completed, simple as that. Mythal brought me here to help mankind, and so I will.”

Syviis’s green hues shifted to gaze at the demon with a taciturn glimmer. The demon was of no consequence of hers and couldn’t care less what it did. The red head looked back down to the scraps of paper she drew on. 

Sublte incantations to perfect her inferno magic. She was close to achieving of summoning fire without a circle. When the demon spoke again; Syviis shifted to face it. The ends of her lips twitch into a slight confident smile. 

“If I were to use the entire spell, Skyhold would be nothing more than a sea of flames. I am sure that Solas has spoke of my fire magic to you, I’m sure.” 

“You don’t have to be mean,” Jas said in a petulant huff. She was already planning to run and tattle to Solas about it. Like she did most things. “I’m just looking and I was only offering to help. You’re not my type anyway, Spiny Syviis.”

Silly spells, silly circles, silly sketches. The ways mortals reined in the magics, honed them, made them theirs. She hated how they made it taste. She clicked her tongue thoughtfully as she studied the lacquer of her nails while watching the spellwork out of the corner of her eye.

“Not terrible,” Jas conceded as the fire wisped away. It did make her a little sad to see it go. “Although it seems like a lot of work for just that. Is there more to it?”

Syviis listened to every word of his report and gave a firm nod. “Very well. I will make an injury on your behalf to Josephine. We’ll get your troops the supplies they need.” 

Shifting her weight to one limb to another; Syviis eyed the older man. He didn’t seem like much; and it was hard to believe he was once a knight commander; but that was neither here or there. As long as the job got done, she didn’t care for the stories of retired men. 

Knitting her brows together, Syviis opened her mouth to speak. “I need you to prepare yourself.” She began. “You will be escorting me to Therinfal Redoubt.”The red headed ordered; her expression remained taciturn and reserved. 

“We leave as soon as you’re ready.”
