Celebrating Diwali at  Indus Valley Public School

Celebration of ‘The festival of lights’, came alive at Indus Valley Public School, Noida on 5th November, 2018 when the students of classes I, II and IV in their special assembly showcased the spirit of Diwali through the spiritual and inspirational songs along with mesmerizing and awe-struck dance performance .

The assembly was commenced with the pledge, ‘No to Fire Crackers”. The Principal shared the guidelines on how to celebrate safe, peaceful and bright Diwali.

The Tiny Tots also followed the celebration of this auspicious day by making rangoli and lighting up the diyas.

Aarjav - English Olympiad Achiever.

The joys of students have no bound when they explore their talents lay participating in school events. As Indus Valley Public School strongly believes in turning up each stone in bringing out the hidden talents in each student and making them realize that the shining future awaits for them, an English Olympiad was held on 23rd October, 18 in our school premises were the students showcased their budding talents. Kudos to our shining star, Master Aarjav Prabhakar of class 3rd B who showcased his extraordinary talent and skill and bagged the 1st position in the Olympiad. He scored 31/40 at school level, 249 as International Rank and 139 as Zonal Rank. He had won a Gold Medal and proved that any transition is easier if you believe in yourself. Congratulations Aarjav.

Indus Valley School celebrating “Guru Nanak  Jayanti”.

“Guru Nanak Jayanti Celebration” Guru Nanak Jayanti, the most sacred festival of Sikhs, celebrates the birth of Guru Nanak Dev, the first Sikh Guru. To inculcate the feeling of enthusiasm and respect for every religion, the students of class Pre-Nursery to KG visited Gurudwara, Indirapuram and classes I to III participated in Guru Nanak Jayanti celebration held on 22nd November, 2018 at school premises. The event started with a wonderful song. Followed by an amazing skit and an enthusiastic dance performance. The students were briefed about the preaching of Guru Nanak Dev through Gurubani.

Chlidren’s Day at IVPS

On the occasion of Children’s Day, the teachers and children at Indus Valley Public School, Noida, remembered Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, our first Prime Minister. They celebrated the love that he had for all children with a host of fun-filled activities. 

The children arrived at school, full of excitement as they knew their teachers had something in store for them. During the programme conducted by the teachers, the children were completely immersed by scintillating dances, mellifluous songs, and heart-stirring poems. Alongside, students also enjoyed the International Kids Film Festival 2018 hosted by school on the same day. To end the fun-filled day, the teachers and students played a great game of cricket. “Science Week”

‘Science Week’

‘Science is the acceptance of what works and the rejection of what does not’.

To develop and inspire better understanding of scientific facts, concepts and principles, IVPS observed science week from 23rd October to 31st October, 2018 which was an endeavour to explore and celebrate the powers of science and imbue a scientific spirit within the students. To test the knowledge of students and to make learning a fun, an array of activities and contests were held throughout the week which included the ‘Science Quiz’ followed by the ‘Pictionary’ contest in which the students participated with great zeal. The last two days witnessed the participation of students in the ‘Scibola’ contest which was a fun filled experience. The week ended with a Power Point Symposium through which the students showcased their exclusive talents and skills. The activity was the capstone of the week. It was an interactive and informative session for everyone.

Dussehra celebrations at Indus Valley Public School

Dussehra, the festival to celebrate the victory of good over evil, was celebrated in school auditorium “Ashakriti” with lot of religious zeal and fervour.

It provides opportunity for socialization and room for self expression. One such event was organized by UP Tourism in association with Noida Authority, “Incredible India- Shilpotsav Noida-2018”, at Noida Stadium which was inaugurated by Union Minister, Mr. Mahesh Sharma and Ms. Ritu Bahuguna, Minister for tourism, Uttar Pradesh. The folk dance competition had students from more than 50 schools of Gautam Buddh Nagar District The school feels great pride and joy to share that our students gave a tough competition to other participating schools and notched the winner’s trophy. Our vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic Ganpati Dance.
