Damon Salvatore.
“Oh goody. Cashmeire sweater wearing dads who think they’re kids are so much better than anyone else’s because they’ve got a trust fund.” Damon’s kids also had trust funds, but his kids weren’t assholes. Well – they could be, but they were his assholes. The famous Damon Salvatore smirk graces his lips as one dares to reach out, as if he was trying to adjust Damon’s clothing to try and what? Intimidate him? “You have three seconds to remove your hands, and in those three seconds you can be incredibly grateful that I’m even giving you those.” Damon was human, yes. But he was still very much skilled in fighting and hunting, not that these guys screamed anything other than stupid. “One….” Nothing, “Two….” And just as he was about to say three, the other backed off. “Good choice, didn’t wanna ruin that fake tan of yours.” Damon claps a hand on the others shoulder before he walks off. @sanguishqsstarters
An implosion of emotion swelled in JD’s chest. Well fuck. Cause this was not the version of his dad alive-- well, undead, and moving. This was more like the version he knew growing up. More accurately, didn’t know. The one who was in a coma, who was in the pictures, who was in the stories, who JD had never even heard the voice of or been held by. He had been a baby in a box, barley surviving, by the time they had been taken away from him. Away from all of them. “What the fuck are you?” An apparition maybe? Some witch’s spell that went wrong? Probably a Bennett or a Mikaelson. Or was this a nightmare and JD was just asleep? Or--- ah, he knew what it was. “I’m dead aren’t I.” Overdoing in his sleep wasn’t entirely an unsurprising way to go.

Caroline Forbes.
God, it was weird to be back in this time. Caroline was grateful that Chronos had given her this opportunity to go back and set some things straight, to make sure that the kids would be doing alright if they did have to go back in time. She prayed that they didn’t, that the fears her husband had were unfounded and that everyone was still safe but planning for the worst was part of the Caroline Forbes way. “2012…God, it’s hard to believe Lizzie and Josie weren’t even born. I mean, has Alaric even met Jo yet?”
@sanguishqsstarters
JD eyed her. He had planned to slide on his hoodie and hope that Aunt Caroline Forbes’s detector wouldn’t detect him, or she wouldn’t care enough to chase him. The plan had been hoody, hiding his face, and trying to find anywhere but here. Yet. Here she was. Speaking so--- JD didn’t know how to describe it. Same face but different. Familiar. Not familiar to him of course but for Lizzie and Josie, in a way the past!Caroline shouldn’t be. Mentioning JO. He didn’t know the whole story but he knew that was Josie’s namesake so. “Would have to meet Alaric to know that.” Something he had yet to do, nor was planning to. Gaze fixed on her, despite him tightening his hood around him in a curl. “What does it matter?” He asked suspiciously.

Jeremy Gilbert.
of all the stupid goddamn bullshit luck in the world….of course the first thing that would happen upon getting back would be meeting a very hungry newbie vampire. of course it would try to make a nice little snack out of him. why the fuck wouldn’t it ? but god, he just didn’t have the time right now to mediate or have some sweet little come to the light moment. hence the greying corpse at his feet ( god it was always so strange to see the life bleed from them like that ). poor son of a bitch. but he was on a mission —- funerals for the damned be fucked. without giving it much thought, he began dragging the body through the woods —– to somewhere a little less inconspicuous. he’d kick some dirt and leaves on it and call it a day. find his kids. pretend this obnoxious little detour through the forests of mckinley never happened. that was the plan at least…..fucking footsteps. jesus fucking christ, really ? a sigh. he dropped the body. looked up at the person approaching. “ yeah….this is exactly what it looks like. “
@sanguishqsstarters
holy moly shit. “the beards new.” jd frowned looking his uncle up and down and taking note of all that wasn’t there before. “so are the crows feet and wrinkles and shit.” shit was right. mother fucking forkballs shit. cause this wasn’t the same jeremy gilbert who rescued him in their first encounter, this was more like the coma discount he had yet to actually properly meet. until now. “you’re not this time’s jeremy huh.” he wondered briefly if the man had any idea who he even WAS, jd had barley been born before his parents, uncles and aunts and everyone went to coma land.

Holden Campbell.
“ you sure you still have all your teeth in your head to try?” waiting expectantly as the other man tried to … get off the ground he really wasn’t sure. still he warning was enough to have holden stop from coming any closer. he wasn’t trying to be some vampire or whatever meal. at least not before he got to meet up with his cousin and his hot boss. “this is what i get for pulling over in the backwater town.” shoving his hands in his pockets as he looked him over. “ i’ll leave if you don’t want any help cause i don’t want you trying to bite me in the ass or something if i do . last thing i need is to be sued… again”
Oh no he was hot. This spelled trouble considering his bleeding and first impulse to say. “Pretty sure I got em all.” JD offered a smile despite the blood on his teeth. “Nah I’m sure your ass is nice and all,” he assured him despite his lack of current visual. “But I only bite hot people consensually.” It was family and friends he had lack of permit for that he still bit without hesitation. “Sued huh? Illegal- um.” His head hurt and on the tip of his tongue was only hotness and that was so boring. “Helping? Damn my brain lacks flirty molecules currently.”

Olivia Medina.
heels clicked against pavement and her steps slowed with each time they did. to hell with professionalism, she mumbled. her night at the office was already over and no one was around to pass their judgment. at the next red crossing light that stopped olivia in her tracks, she bent down to peel off her shoes. “ there, all better — ” crash ( or it wasn’t really a crash but more of a boom, thud, thud, thud … thud ) the initial shock sent a wave of adrenaline to course through her entire body. fingers hurriedly groped around her coat pocket for her phone ( the car was getting away ) but by the time she had her camera app whipped out to get some kind of evidence, it was already long gone. “ shit, ” she scowled, rushing over ( mind you, she was still barefoot ) to the person who had quite literally done a somersault in the air before hitting the ground. he had to have some kind of internal bleeding, a concussion — something. “ how do you still have any teeth left to bite me with ? ” probably not the best question to ask a person who clearly needed medical attention. in her defense, his reaction to all of it was just as questionable. “ i’m calling an ambulance. ”
He was dying maybe yes but also she was so hot? Ut was impossible to ignore. Though that might have been his brain ceasing to function after the damage he regularly inflicted on it. He wondered how much morphine they would give him at the hospital or if they wouldn’t bother with it, given he had already taken the equivalent pre his tumble into the air. “911? Who-“ a stutter of his words and a cough. How weird. “-who needs an ambulance? Not me-not me, though girl you are makin my heart go woo-woo.” He imitated the sounds if an ambulance to the best of his terrible ability. “I’d grow new teeth for you girl.” Maybe he hit his head harder then he thought.

Phoenix de Martel.
“Fairly certain my teeth are a lot sharper than yours.” Phoenix has taken form several times back home, “And larger.” One tooth in his dragon form was the size of JD’s head. And JD? Didn’t frighten Phoenix in the slightest. He had seen the accident, watched as JD rolled over from the hood all the way to the back, slamming into the concrete. He didn’t make a move to help him though, while JD wouldn’t admit it, his ego and pride were just like Damon’s. So, the dragon stood there, hands in his pockets blocking off any more cars that would have come out of nowhere, “What broke?” He heard the snap.
Ugh Phoenix. His sister’s not-husband, but the father to the cutest niece alive. Obviously their genetics. Sure Phoenix was hot but he was also annoying and marked as Jen’s dude firmly, not to mention the whole judgmental look he had going. Being Fallon’s brother sure didn’t help matters. “My heart, probably.” He bullshited like the very professional. “You could name an event I’m sure the snap would fit for it.” He told him firmly, thinking his whole life as a perfect example.

Everett.
Everett had a knack for walking on foot whenever he could. He had a car but sometimes the night air was enough for him. He breathed it in but was snapped out of it when he saw the kid was hit. He speed over and was about to help when he heard his words. “You could be in shock and dying,” Everett said with a smirk. “Let me help you,”
Fuck whoever wanted to help him but oh he was hot. “Gotta…” Oh fuck he needed to stop slurring cause he was totally slurring his words. “... gotta buy me a drink first.” What, he was hot, JD had PRIORITIES even if this was a shit situation. Sure he might be dying but welp whatever.

So in all fairness the car didn’t come from nowhere. So JD didn’t really feel the need to hunt down the license plate or anything. He was wearing a black jacket, it was dark as shit tonight and well, it wasn’t like he declared himself. They didn’t even really hit him, they just sorta--- it was kind of like a dance? With the car moving super fast and JD rolling over it until he smashed into the pavement. Which, yeah that fucking hurt. He was certain he heard something snap. It didn’t really hurt too bad though, on account of how high he was. So it was more like future!JD’s problem. Present!JD was more concerned with actually standing without looking too pathetic. He was focused on that when a pair of footsteps shuffled closer and without even looking up he declared very firmly. “If you try and help me Imma bite you.” He wasn’t a vampire but he sure had teeth.

“Nope.” The p popped from his lips taking in the sight before him. Perhaps JD should have feared vampires more but if they fed on him well. It was their loss. Immortality wise that is. “That dude though, he owed me some money. Do you mind if I... ?” Loot the not-corpse of him. Not the kindest but welp, JD needed money.
@sanguishqsstarters
Ruby red liquid slowly dripped down her face as she heard a noise. Calmly turning around, she let the body she was once holding drop to the ground. “I wouldn’t worry too much,” she said as she took a step forward, “he isn’t dead, I think” she shrugged before wiping her mouth. “May I help you though?”

JD quirked a brow. That was his usually his spot. Less so the zipper more so running out of the home after having wrecked it. Apparently husbands and wives don’t like coming home to a 20 year old in their bed. They especially don’t appreciate it when they have a kid that age and JD deliberately ignored the signs they did. He really outta give more of a shit and yet--- woops? “Guess I can,” He spoke deliberately coy because yeah he was gonna squeeze as much mileage as he could from this. Except, well fuck, he couldn’t help but ask. “Was he at least hot? I’m also gonna need an estimate, tell me when to stop.” His hands clasped together with JD beginning to part them to make a length that became progressively wider waiting for her word when to stop.
Nova didn’t do relationships and she didn’t do messy, yet she found herself in a pretty messy situation anyways. Just her luck, really. Slipping on last night’s dress was easy, but she didn’t have enough time to zip it up before vases and the like were being thrown. Steps carried her out of the house, the angry wailing wife of the man she hooked up with screaming behind her. “You know, this sounds like something you guys should work out in marriage counseling.” She wasn’t a home wrecker by any means, she was wasted and he wasn’t wearing his wedding band. That sounded like a him problem. Just as another vase was thrown, Nova dipped out before it could hit her, nearly running into someone as she went down the steps. “Ah, this might be weird but can you zip this up for me please?” @sanguishqsstarters

When Reine hightailed it the fuck outta mckinley JD didn’t blame her. he would probably follow if he had her resources such as compulsion as disposal, but alas he was annoying and achingly human. Forever. Eternally. It was kinda annoying? But knowing that was hardly anything new. What was new, however, was Reine’s return to McKinley. “I have two questions.” He began with, not giving her a moment to even respond before speaking. Also entirely ignoring the person she’d been attempting to talk to. He was a good friend like that. “Why.” Why come back? Why not enjoy Paris forever? Why in the world would she come back to the hell hole she had actually managed to escape? “And secondly, how dare you.” More joking then actual stricken by it. He would make a jab about trading places if not for his inability to take care of himself normally let alone survive somewhere else, and also his lack of speaking french. “Third.” JD said, though he had only proclaimed two things. “If you’re gonna ask anyone for a margarita it’s gonna be this guy or- and this is no exaggeration, it’d be a betrayal to my soul.”
STARTER : open to all, @sanguishqsstarters
Well, it was finally time. Nearly four months since her arrival into this day and age, and she quickly high-tailed it out of there, and straight to Paris. Her destination of choice, when it came to hiding out, something she was positive she’d picked up on from her mother. But alas, there was only so much pretending that could be done, whilst the rest of her seventy-five siblings were running around. Perhaps, a slight exaggeration, but nonetheless, she was from a rather large family, to say the least. So, she was positive her disappearance was barely a blip on the radar. Her belongings were thrown into the first B&B she managed to locate, which would ultimately do for now, as she finally vacated the building, heading into the main street. "You look like a local,” she commented, not fully paying attention, but noticing their comfortable pace, implying they knew where they were going, “where’s the best place to get a margarita? Girl needs a pick-me-up.”

Brett Mikaelson.
He didn’t completely hate McKinley. They were apparently not far from his birthplace, not that Brett remembered it. He’d been only six months old when his mom passed, and foster home after foster home had taken him in until Kol and Davina had finally found him. He had probably been too old to be adopted at that point, but the act was more about the sentiment behind it than anything else. He was their family and he was proud to be so. What he liked most about this tiny little town was easily Danny’s Diner. That man knew how to make a pancake like none other. “Anyone who says The Grill beats this place in quality is sorely mistaken.” @sanguishqsstarters
“The Grill was a shit hole.” And the words flew from his mouth without any regard for his own safe. Which was common for JD as a person, not caring about the consequences is what led him into so many fucked up circumstances of his own making. The very most fucked up of them all sitting casually at a diner, and JD should have turned tail and headed out the moment he saw him. Instead he spoke, instead he approached, instead he chased the high instead of running from it. It appeared to be his way. “Though you might be familiar with those, cause I have to imagine that’s where you’ve been all this time instead of here. Hiding in a shitty hole like I don’t know, a rabbit? A groundhog? Fuck.” Perhaps he needed to know about some animals more before making a reference.

☠ = pushing them against a wall .+ @ofbrokenfaith
“Hmf.” Not that JD was unfamiliar being shoved into walls. He owed people money, he fucked people, and he normally didn’t do either in a bedroom. So walls were a familiar place against his back, whether he faced them wall to back or wall to front. He didn’t expect much less from Fallon, she was Fallon. Angry at the world and her inability to cope with it. JD felt the same way most of the time. “If you wanted to fuck again all you had to do was say so.” He told her cockily.

Sev O’Connell.
It truly did concern Sev how much of the environment for most people he met was not stable. Not to say that his was, after all he was still in between apartments as he spoke. “You know if you ever need a place to crash my place is open? I managed to get a two bedroom – and I really don’t have anyone staying in.” He had figured that maybe Cem or Declan would crash over during some nights, so that had been the reason he had decided to throw some extra cash onto the rent. “But hey – jail isn’t a bad gig. Probably one of the cheapest motels to be honest. Semi crime committed and then you get a meal or two free.” Sev liked JD, he even liked that he knew Fallon. From all the people he knew that were associated with Fallon it was nice to know there was one person that didn’t scream red flag right away. “Semi in between to be honest – ended up with a couple of boxes of toothpaste if I am honest.” He commented, “Kind of slept through the holiday if I am being honest. Family was busy.”
There was a moment of a particular heartbeat that came from the offer and the ease at which it was given. It was kindness from someone, practically a stranger, that shook JD down to his core. Sure he was technically living in the dorms but they were strict, and it was the same reason he often found other places to crash because past a certain time he had to deal with people demanding answers and like fuck JD wanted those conversations at all. “Maybe I’ll take you up on that.” And to JD’s own shock, he actually meant it. He would consider it, and he kind of wanted to say yes. There was very little stopping him, only his impulse control and that lacked on the control part as it was. He chortled at the other man’s agreement. “You get it man, and the company is always interesting too. You meet the weirdest people and it’s fucking awesome.” A grin chirping to his lips. “Toothpaste doesn’t sound so bad. Saves you some cash at least.” JD shrugged, unperturbed by the crappy gift. “Family--- ah, can’t blame you for sleeping through that.” He remarked.

Jen Salvatore.
Christmas had simultaneously been the best and worst day of her life. It wasn’t often that Jen let herself get to the point of tears; no, that was something that she’d inherited from Damon. Emotional circumstances tended to make her cold and callous rather than a mess of sorrow and saline but this was different. She looked up at her brother with red rimmed eyes, shaking her head at his question. “It’s my fault, J.” God, wasn’t that the truth. “I spent Christmas with Nix and with…” The tears started again and she tried to force them back. She couldn’t finish it, couldn’t even say Ella’s name. “She said mama. And I just…I can’t. J, I fucked it all up and I can’t fix it. I can never, ever fix it.”
Fuck, he really walked into something right here. A guilty part of him wanted to FLEE, maybe find someone better equipped to handle this and send them to Jen’s side but that wasn’t fair of him. It would be a shitty thing to do to her. For all the many shitty things JD was capable of, he realized that that wasn’t one of them. He listened, as she spoke, holding in a witty retort about how it was the Salvatore way, to fuck shit up and have everything be their fault. It was easier that way. Nix. Which meant Ella. Two plus two equaled a whole shit load of four. “That sounds like bullshit.” It wasn’t spoken unkindly. “You can’t fix it? So you’re just gonna keep on running and hiding and then what? The moment you can’t fix it Jaz, is when she stops calling you mama. Not when she starts.” He took a seat beside her, and wrapped his arm around his older sister in a half-embrace, it was the best as he could offer. “She’s tiny Jaz. The only person to stop you from being in her life right now is Phoenix, and it doesn’t look like he’s trying. Kinda feels like the opposite. The only person stopping you from being in Ella’s life right? Sorry to break it to you sis, but it’s you. This is a you choice. Don’t get me wrong you still have the chance to fuck it up, but there’s time for that, and the point of no return isn’t now.”

↱ = being lost with them + @becomingfractured
There were some people who had enough respect for others not to use the words I told you so. JD was not one of those people. “I told you we should have just backtracked.” He said, arms crossing over his chest and with a frown on his face. “Now we’re stuck out here, without any service, lost in the woods. We’re going to be the people who die in the teaser before the credits, or maybe not even that.” He mused, negative as ever. “Maybe they’ll just find our bodies later, yeah? “
