I travel a lot. I’ve met many people and made many friends. These people helped shape who I am today, these people influenced my chapters in life. I’ve always been forever changing, whether its on the move, my mindset, or the people I meet. I never had time to experience true love but maybe because I should be spending time being creator. I create many things and whatever I create (art wise) has a flow to it. Define perfectionist: A person who refuses anything short of perfection.
I’m sharing something much greater to me than a freshly made project. My tumblr I’ve had for all these years growing up while meeting all these people, figuring myself out, dealing with struggles, possessing multiple heartbreaks, and coming close to death, is what helped me keep my life. Most if not all the images on my blog have a related story to my life whether a pic gave me a flashback or gave me an emotion I was dealing with at the time. My real tumblr is my art.

Imagine being 11-14 years old, you decide, and you're out on the lawn during a peaceful summer evening. This property is off of a dirt road so there isn't any city noise around. Now imagine the sun beating down on you, drying you off from an earlier swim in the pool. Imagine being with that one close friend again you always think of that drifted away while you grew. You guys are laying in soft grass that just reached due for a mow, laughing and picking strands of it while you're engaged in conversation that was never the topic of work, drugs, partying, or college. Imagine feeling a slight breeze that made perfect harmony with the evening warmth, and the sun turning deep orange just in time for a sunset. You're hearing distant crickets and other insects deep in the woods and tall grass during pauses of conversation. There's nothing distracting you from this moment with your friend and you don't have any worries. The days are just going by and you're at overall peace.
What you probably pictured was what used to be a common scene for me. I lived with my aunt who when you entered her house, had 7 dogs who greeted you when you came to the door, a huge husky, chocolate lab, american bulldog, scottish terrier, golden retriever, and a couple mixed breeds. Walking past the first living room you come to a glass sliding door that lead to the pool, right by it 2 calico cats playing nearby. Outside there were 4 horses and a zebra/donkey mix that everyone who attended our fire pit parties had questions about. “How did you get a zebra?” “What is a zebra doing here?” “Are they just like any other horse?”. You'd have to be on the lookout going outside though, Angel, one of my aunts spoiled goats, likes to play a game of tag, and he was always "it"...he means no harm though. I remember being chased, running for my life to get to the trampoline where he couldn't reach me.
In the shed by the barn was my favorite thing about this place. The four wheeler. It's how I met my childhood best friend who had connected wood property we would both shred with our wheelers. I will never forget her and our memories together ripping through trails and nights of sitting in a rowboat tied to a 4 wheeler while our other friend raced it around the fields, I can almost feel the heat of friction coming from the bottom of the boat on my ass again when I think of it. Coming out of the driveway onto the dirt road further from the house lays a concrete bridge that holds memories of graffitiing our names on the walls which were featured in a "The Walking Dead" episode and the time my aunts beagle mix got carried out by an under current and we watched our chocolate lab swim out and drag her back to land. They both survived and got spoiled with mad love and treats when we got back home.
I could go on and on with the memories I have here but I don't want to take up the entire class period. My aunt’s home in Georgia is a memory where I catch myself thinking to this day of my old best friend, simple times, peacefulness, and wishing things were still the same as they used to be. After moving so many times and attending 8 different schools, the country backroads in Brooks, GA is the only place I can really call home.

Someone that truly inspired me is someone I met from youtube a few months ago. Never did I think Dee and I would become as close as we are today and how many opportunities she’d carry. I met her when I joined a virtual chat room after finding out it’s a way I can have conversation with someone I was near a fan of on youtube (not Dee someone else). Wanting to just talk to someone I was inspired by lead to much more than I could’ve even dreamed of.

Over the months as we got closer and closer, we realized this friendship is more than we thought it’d turn out to be. We were doing dumb cliche shit like finishing each others sentences and doing/thinking the same thing. Dee eventually got discovered from her YT channel and was asked to model+walk the runway during New York Fashion Week. She had the option to invite any 1 person to share the $2,000 “VIP experience” with her and she chose me. A few weeks later I took a very uncomfortable 6 hour bus ride to Manhattan alone and we met for the first time in Times Square.

Not going to lie, I was a little overwhelmed knowing not only was I meeting a friend off the internet, but the fact I’d be attending NYFW as a VIP. I didn’t know if our relationship would be the same in person and I definitely never had casual conversation with celebrities before who I knew would be VIP in NYFW. -
Turns out I was overwhelmed for nothing. Our relationship was the same if not better after we met, and although I was 1 row away from rhianna I didn’t run into celebrities to the point of having that awkward “so what do you do?” convo.

After the show was finished Dee got invited to the after-party and I tagged along. We met more models and talked about linking up next time im in the city. On my long ride back home 1am Monday morning, I just couldn’t comprehend everything that just happened. I got to finally meet my close friend who let me experience a chaotic but exciting night in the city while also making connections on the way. I was arriving to Syracuse where I live when I got a text saying “one of the designers we’ve seen wants you to model his collection and walk winter’s NYFW”.
The things I’ve experienced that night, I have a feeling will raise many more opportunities in the future, and I owe it all to the one person who probably just changed my life.
