What made you become a gym leader anyways? You rarely hand out badges so i dont see the point of you still being one.

      That was was a good question. After all, there weren’t many trainers that passed by Sunnyshore, anymore. That and if a trainer did happen to challenge him, he found them sub-par. Considering the last battle that had thrilled him so much was against some prepubescent boy, who he couldn’t remember the name of. Though, it had been awhile, so he tended to forget. “What made me become one? I suppose, it seemed fun at the time. That and the city needed one, and I was the first choice, I suppose. As for why I’m still one, that’s a good question. Hopefully someone can remind me as to why, one day.”

    Leave it to Flint, to send the usually unmotivated male on a wild goose chase. One, mind you, that had said gym leader traveling to an entirely different region, at that. All on the hopes of snagging one of the rare electric type pokemon, the fiery redhead had spoken of. Though, in hindsight, he should’ve know better. Honestly, what pokemon could be all the way out in the Kanto region, that he hadn’t seen before. On top of that, he now found himself trudging through a god forsaken forest, talk about....boring.

   “ Viridian Forest, certainly has seen better days...” The words barely above a mumble as he navigated the twisting curves of the paths that had been carved out. Trying to ignore the incessant mew of Luxray, the pokemon literally sticking like glue to the blonde’s side.  Lucky for the both of them, though, their trek through the woods would soon come to an end. Not taking very long before he found himself in the city of, Viridian. Although, he wished he hadn’t. Talk about annoying young trainers just mingling and milling about, Man, did he feel sorry for the city’s Gym Leader.

     Distracted by his thoughts, he fails to notice the canine like pokemon wander off. Star like tail swishing from side to side, as it weaves in between the countless people. Only coming to a halt when it nearly pummels into a young man. Hearing the sudden noise coming from it, he turns his attention in the direction in which it ran, before sighing. “Luxray...”

   “ Well at least he didn’t manage to run you over. You alright, though, kid?” The question spoken in a dull tone. Blue eyes assessing the male in front of him, before he glances down at the pokemon, shaking his head lightly.

So Volkner needs some interactions, that and motivation. Cause honestly, he’s getting really lazy. Can range from anything from fluff to gym rematches, cause gym battles are always fun. So yea, this is a starter call. Gonna cap at 4. Hopefully, I can get some decent posts out. If you wanna plot, drop me a message.

    Now this got him thinking for a moment. Not that he’d be able to recall a time ever playing such a joke on the redhead. That would require motivation, which he lacked. “Can’t say that I have. Also, for the record we’re not “bros”, he just tends to drag me along for all his wild ideas...”
