  “We haven’t, have we?” She was right - he’d heard her name an animal off the bat on the street once, couldn’t help being a tad concerned she would up and name the cat Mrs. Whiskers, or something of the like. “Why not a name like, Lorelai or, Clover, or, I don’t know... What do you think fits her? She always looked as sweet as a flower to me.” Shiori definitely wasn’t the best at giving himself a strong outward appearance.

   He moves to sit on top of the counter, hands rested between his knees as he fondly looks over the mix. “Did you need help? I’m almost afraid to ruin how perfect it is already.”

Gwyn was not used to holding hands, unless it was with Samson, so this was blowing her mind a bit. The young woman, looked down at their hands and then up at him and blushed. “They tend to do that…” Her fingers and toes get very cold sometimes and even change color, a curse.

  “Well if y’ let em freeze nob’dy can hold em. Migh’ wanna keep em safe, ‘er sumthin’.” His grip stays, the male’s cold and almost reptilian eyes concentrated on her a moment before he just turns his head with a hiss of a sound. Shit.

Let’s hope this heat isn’t like any of those..” He watches curiously as the other cooks, a smile gently spread across his lips before his eyes widen and blink back towards her. “Hiding from you? I thought of the two of us she liked you most? I- I haven’t.. We haven’t had her for very long. She’s probably just shy and learning about her new home still. Eventually she will come out.”
