It's come to our knowledge that the reason that the Facebook fan group was taken down was due to a new member who had recently joined had made a post selling a T-shirt in the group.

While we could easily make a comment about how unprofessional it was to go through with this decision we ourselves shall remain professional. Although we disagree that this decision shouldn't have been made it was ultimately not ours to choose. However what is ours to choose is what we do from here on out as fans, it is YOUR choice to do what YOU feel is right to do. Now we are NOT calling for everyone to start boycotting, we just saying what we think is fair. If people want to do that that's up to them, not us. We are merely just a faceless figure behind a screen with no influence once so ever.

Do what you feel is right.

I didn't think one of reasons I'd be posting on this blog again is due to what's happened recently with the Petty Estate but seeing the recent events I'd like to share this.

We are in NO WAY affiliated with Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, in any shape, way or form. Everything on here is 100% made up and fictional if you could not tell.

In no way is anything on here meant to harm Tom or the band's image. It's all in good fun and I deeply apologize if anything at all offends you.

While yes this is a fan account I hope the person who decided to remove the fan account that got removed recently can understand that this is purely just nonsense and fictional. I hope they choose not to remove it if they happen to find it.

I've put a disclaimer on the Instagram account and I will be putting one in the bio on here. I hope I'll be posting on this account soon, if I don't I want to thank anyone who still follows this account despite it being pretty much dead. I do apologize for it, life has gotten busy and I've been trying to better take care of myself. Thank you for understanding I'm glad everyone still enjoys the old posts.

Tom petty and Mike Campbell were married since 1977 and got divorced in 2000. To which Tom wrote the album Echo about the divorce. Mike only stayed in the band for the kids.
