HAORAN BIRTHDAY SPECIAL AU
The smell of cinnamon, pumpkin spice and hot chocolate filled the air, with the cold October air hitting the bare skin, Haoran sat outside with his legs crossed, under the apple tree they had planted, with a little girl sitting on his lap, hair in disarray.
"Ouch," Haoran mumbled softly as the little girl slight tugged his hair a bit harshly. "Sowwy! Sowwy!" She apologized frantically, eyes still focused on the petal that she'd been trying to place on his head for the pass 5 minutes. Laughing, he shook his head lightly, but stopped before he could ever produce any damage.
"Tell me a story," the little girl unconsciously stuck her tongue out to the side, trying to gain intense focus as she slowly put the pink petal in the middle of his hair.
"About what?"
"W-why do you have b-bwu-bwuises?" Briefly, she looked at the scattered bandages on his legs, the ones that she stuck on.
"Oh, you know how clumsy I can be," He smiled.
She pouted, and stopped putting petals on his head. Haoran, finding the scenario funny, but nonetheless asked, "What seems to be the problem princess?"
She proceeded to cross her arms and turn her head to the side. His eyes grew soft, trying hard to fight back a laugh.
"Do you wanna tell Dada what's wrong? Can I please know what seems to be the problem?" His voice remained calm, but soft, welcoming even. Doing everything not to make her feel like her feelings are validated.
She sighed, "Dada you should be careful! O-owr else I will be mad! A-and also mama too!" Her eyes grew glassy, as tears started to fill and little by little fell down. Haoran sat up straight and pulled the little girl close to his chest.
“Shhh calm down princess, calm down. Dada will take care of himself now, don’t cry,” he whispered softly in her ears as she continued to sob on his chest. They stayed like that for a couple more minutes until she finally had the strength to look at him again.
“I-I’m sowwy, I just don’t like it when you get huwrt, or when mama gets huwrt!” She hiccupped as she wiped her tears. “No princess, don’t apologize, I know you just want dada and mama to stay safe.”
The little girl yawned and started rubbing her eyes, which quickly caught Haoran’s attention, “do you want to nap while dada and mama prepare dinner?” She hazily nodded in return, raising her hands up, gesturing for him to carry her, in which he immediately did.
"I wuvyu dada."
"I love you too pumpkin."

W-what do you want from me?
Y/n meekly said.
You're nothing to us but a mere bait, a chess piece. When we get what we came from, you'll be disgarded.
Eiko said, with seriousness that seemed to cause chills down Y/n's spine.
Someone growled from the shadows, an intense orange aura suddenly flashed from the dark.
Oh, the boyfriend is here already? Where are the others you rabid animal?
Eiko spat, angering Bohai more.
The large tiger turned to look at Y/n that was almost lifeless and weakened, lacking the strength or will power to even look at him.
His look softened, when suddenly a bow with magimortium went towards him, he immediately dodged it making him growl much, much more aggressively.
What do you want?
Aiguo suddenly emerged from the dark, trailing behind and beside him are the other tigers.
The Blue Tiger's head.
Asumi smiled holding her traditional fan.
Why take the girl? She has nothing to do with all this or with Kiho.
Aiguo stared at the girl that was tied to a chair, severely bruised, but still had a few hits left in her spirit.
Because we'd be dead if we touched Ko Nari.
Eiko shrugged, making Kiho grit his teeth at just the mention of her name.
See?
Eiko smirked, a devilish one.
Give us the girl.
Aiguo sternly said.
Give us the tiger.
Asumi snickered.
Bohai, not having enough patience, annoyed and had seen enough of his girl's suffering, jumped towards Asumi.
Bohai!
Aiguo yelled before everyone came charging, one after another.
Y/n suddenly gasped for air, she looked around and saw that she was at her place. Bohai woken up by her sudden movement.
What's wrong?
Bohai asked her in a worried tone.
I-I had a dream.
Y/n continued breathing heavily.
Tell me about it later, okay? Let's go back to sleep.
Y/n nodded and laid her head on Bohai's chest. He lulled her to sleep.
When he was sure that y/n was now soundly asleep, he stood up and opened the closet door.
Asumi's head remained hanging by her hair with a shocked expression.

Beck...
Beck..
Beck.
BECK!
He hurriedly faked being asleep on the couch, making her groan as she walked towards him.
Beck Dang, why do you have another cut on your lip?!
She raised her brows while running her finger at the lower left part of his lip that had a gash.
It's nothing babe.
She frowned, it wasn't nothing. Whenever he went home on the weekends he'd always have a wound, sometimes even worse.
I don't like your job, you always come home bruised. I don't like it when you get hurt.
He sighed, before motioning for her to come sit next to him.
Come here.
She stood firmly still, trying her best to avoid his gaze.
Baby.
No response.
Look at me.
Still, no response.
Y/n, be a good girl and come here.
This time, he pulled her making her fall on to the seat next to him.
What is it?
She snapped at him.
I'm doing this for you, okay? This is for our future.
What future? The one where you won't be going home anymore? One day you'll just vanish and I'll see your face in the news? "Man in his 20's found dead near a lake"?! Fuck that Beck, I don't want to be a widower—
She stopped speaking mid sentence which earned a suggestive look from Beck.
Widower?
He smirked while shaking his head.
We are not even engaged yet.
He sneered which earned a glare from her.
So you're telling me after knowing each other since diaper days, being high school sweethearts and dating for nearly a fucking decade, your goal isn't to marry me?
Beck stared at her in amusement, as if it was his goal to get that reaction from her.
Will you stop nagging if I give you a ring?
She looked at him in disbelief, as silence slowly consumed them. The only sound that was audible was the occasional passing of cars and the fighting of cats outside the apartment.
She pursed my lips, not knowing what to say or do. Hastily standing up and walking to their shared bedroom.
Y/n
Y/n
Y/n!
What!? What is it Beck fucking Dang? What are you gonna tell me? That you'll buy a 59 carat diamond ring just so I would 'stop nagging'!?
She frustratedly yelled at him as she sat on the bed, he quietly hovered over the foot of the bed, fiddling with his hands and staring at his feet.
I didn't mean it that way...
He said in the smallest voice possible while staring at his feet as if it was the most interesting thing to ever exist in the world.
I'm going to bed. You come home at 3am on a Sunday when it was supposed to be on a Saturday, you missed our date night and now, you're making my head hurt. Sleep or not, I don't care. Leave in the morning, don't even bother speaking to me if you'll always do this. Night.
She pulled the duvet up to her head, completely covering herself as she laid on her side, back facing Beck's side of the bed.
He sighed as he laid down, draping his arms over her waist in a protective manner. Pulling him close to him, nuzzling his face on her hair that smelt of strawberries and cream.
I'm sorry, please don't fall asleep mad at me.
He said in a hushed tone.
She didn't answer, instead, she acted like she had already fallen asleep. (Which Bohai bought for some unknown reason)
I don't intend to marry you, I never did.
She remained quiet and calm, although feeling her heart sink at the words he just muttered.
And I'm scared to. I've always been scared of marriage, of commitments, of love. But with you, I'll overcome them all. Because I'm much more scared of losing you, I'm much more scared of waking up on the weekends knowing that it won't be you I'll be seeing. I'm terrified of those cold winter nights without your warmth, or those hot summer nights without your love. I'm terrified of living if it's not with you, and most importantly, I'm terrified of loving if it's not you.
He rambled.
I don't know how I'll survive wihout your common sense, or your humor, your laughter, and the way you accidentally burn food whenever you cook but I still eat it anyway because I know you try your best. The way you nag when I come home late to you, or when I have bruises. I know you're worried about me baby, but please know I do my best to not get hurt. Being an agent is just hard, okay? But I promise, once we have enough money to live in our own house I'll stop. We'll raise our own family and we'll be happy.
She sighed, finally giving in and facing him to closely look at his face. She traced the bruise on his lips before she softly spoke.
I'm sorry for being mad.
He chuckled whilst shaking his head,
I'm sorry for making you mad, are we good?
She nodded, he kissed her forehead and hugged her tight. They slept soundly that night, in each other's arms.
The next day went smooth, he made breakfast, they cuddled all day and watched horror movies which made Beck shriek for a couple of times. (He was shrieking all throughout the movies, even if the people were just talking.)
Monday soon came which meant he'll be gone again for the whole week, he never bought or showed him where he worked so surprise visits weren't an option, he just says that he's some top notch agent that 'saves the world from evil'.
He rarely talks about what he does, he mostly tells her about his workmates. That were mostly Asian or mixed, like him.
This guy, Kiho, their 'Hyung' also has a girlfriend which they called 'Noona' since he was korean.
Another guy, Genjo, says that he has a 'shekshy Singaporean girlfriend' that no one believes, except for him, Beck.
He also told her about the guy that grew up fighting and now that's the only thing he knows, which made her feel bad due to having the privilege of growing up completely safe and fine.
Another guy, whom they call Mama, looks after them. She likes him, she had always wanted to meet him but Beck kept telling her he was always busy raising all of them.
There was another guy, he was like the business man? She wasn't sure, but he tells her that he's the one that always goes undercover with him to social events.
And the last guy, he was almost killed by the guy that grew up fighting, but he was cool so they became best friends.
She was shaken out of her thoughts by a soft knocking at the door, not expecting any visitors nor Beck (he wouldn't bother knocking if it was him).
Unbeknownst to her, Harvey Song stood at the other side of the door patiently waiting for her to open the door, and when she did, he gave her a wide smile.
Good day, Ms. Y/n. My name is Harvey Song, and I'm here to pick you up as per Mr. Beck Dang's request.
She looked at him, puzzled. Beck hadn't told her about any man picking her up today. A gut feeling told her this man was dangerous and should not be trusted.
Uh, you got the wrong apartment. I'm Patricia, I don't know any Beck.
The man, Harvey, chuckled lowly.
Oh dear, do not try to fool me. I know who you are, now you either come with me or we're making a ruckus out of this place.
She quickly run to the bedroom and locked the door, starting to rummage through her stuff. Beck gave her a 'special' gun to use when people that are shady and knows him tries to abduct her from home.
Come on Y/n, don't make me come home in there. I am not comfortable with going in a woman's bedroom, especially when she is alone in there.
Shakily pointing the gun at the door, not knowing that Harvey Song's eyes were already glowing with Aura.
Meanwhile,
Damnit Bohai! I said go to the LEFT, THE LEFT BOHAI.
Kiho frustratedly yelled through the earpiece, making Bohai and the rest of the boys scrunch up their noses
Sorry, the right side looked promising.
Kiho groaned in annoyance.
Fall back.
Those two words were enough to send them flying back to Amah's house, which was then found out that Amah was waiting outside while tapping her feet due to irritation.
BOHAI!
Amah yelled while smacking him hard.
WHAT DID YOU DO THIS TIME?!
Bohai grinned as he scratched the back of his head, Amah already knew what he had done, she always had.
In that moment, he felt a surge of shock through his body. Something was wrong.
Did you all felt that?
He asked with a straight face and one thing in mind. Y/n.
Amah looked at him knowingly, not even surprised, instead she uttered the three words that was enough to make anyone go mad.
That's her fate.
Bohai, shocked and angry, looked at her, then at everyone else.
No. No, no, no.
He aggressively shook his head.
You can't tamper with fate.
She simply said before walking back inside the house.
But Hyung can?!
Amah stopped walking, a hitch in her throat after being reminded of what was to be Kiho's fate.
He'll be paying the price.
She said, before continuing to walk back to her tea room.
Then I'll also pay the price.
Bohai said before transforming into a tiger and running off.
His brothers, stood watching him go out of eye view.
Does he even know where he's going?
Minzhe asked.
He's got no clue.
Manchu shook his head.
That idiot.
Aiguo said.
Let's go?
Genjo asked.
Mama?
Kiho looked over at Diyu, asking for his support on this one.
Fine, but I'll just tuck the kids to bed.
Diyu mumbled before going inside the house.
Meanwhile, at the other side of the world, Y/n was tied up and beaten to a pulp.
Confused, weak and in a lot of pain.
When are they coming?
Asumi asked, already bored of the immagical girl she'd been playing with for an hour or so already.
Patience Asumi, patience.
Eiko warned her as she stood near them.

Nari AU PT1
Nari sat on the floor as Kiho left to go back to Amah's. She felt off, as if something big was bound to happen. She worriedly rubbed her tummy as the baby started moving and kicking.
Don't worry, papa will come back.
She said in a hopeful voice, wanting to believe it, even if she knew what his fate already was.
She waited, and waited, and waited, until there was nothing to wait for anymore.
She started rummaging through his stuff, the smell of his perfume still stuck to his clothes, the blue hair dye that was stained on one of the sheets, the unsent letters he kept.
She spent days alone in her house, it turned into weeks and then months, the only time she went out was when she was to give birth to their son.
Wang Yuze, born on the 7th of April, 2015.
She tried to give him everything, love, happiness and a home, the only thing she couldn't was a father.
The only thing she couldn't give him was his father, Wang Kiho.
A few months after he was born passed, Bohai came knocking at her door.
The pungant smell of beer soon hit her nose, he looked like he hadn't had much sleep, his eyes darted to the small baby that was asleep in Nari's arms.
His mouth formed a small smile, he looked lovingly at the small child as it continued to softly snore.
Poor child, didn't even have a chance to meet his father and now I'm here taking him from his mother.
He thought to himself.
Are you here to...
Nari didn't continue, the look on Bohai's face was enough to tell her everything she needed to know.
She sighed, letting Bohai in.
At least let me have my last few moments with him, and help me pack his stuff as well, please?
Bohai quietly walked behind her, through the living room and into his room. They sat on the floor as they started packing everything little Yuze needed, diapers, clothes, milk and those in between.
She quietly slipped a paper in his bag, a note? Or maybe it was a letter? No one will know, only she and him.
Can you, take the boxes from the living room? Those are—were Kiho's.
Bohai nodded, he did what Nari said, giving the two some alone time.
Nari walked to the crib where Yuze laid sound asleep.
Yuze, my little boy scout Yuze. We may be apart, but always remember, mama is with you. Through the sunrise and sunsets, the sea and the sand, the moon and the sun. Through rainy days and sunny, mama will always be with you. Like you will always be with me.
She stared at him, as tears stream down her face and stain the cheeks of her son.
I will never forget you, my love. We'll meet again in another life time, and maybe by then, we'll be complete.
She kissed his nose.
And that, that was the last time she saw him, or maybe even remembered him.

Pain, Bohai felt nothing but pain.
His eyes due to crying, his head due to the lack of sleep and his heart,
due to the loss of his comrade.
He sat at the beach, as he looked at the ocean that reflected the glistening moon tonight wit a bottle of beer in one hand.
The cold ocean breeze, the sound of the waves and his occasional chugging were the only ones that you could feel and hear.
Bohai was there, but it felt like he wasn't.
Physically, he sat there with sad eyes.
But emotionally?
He wasn't.
He's been crying for days, or maybe it was weeks? Mayhaps, it had been months already.
He had already loss count of how many bottles of beer he'd had in the past year. He just knew it was enough for the factory to temporary stop distributing to stores due to 'insufficient stocks', as they would like to say it.
He always sat close to Nari's house, so he always heard the muffled cries of a baby. Maybe about 3 months old, he wasn't sure.
Bohai loss track of time already, for pete's sake, he didn't even know what month it was already.
Or how many months he'd been gone, or maybe it was years?
All Bohai knew was that he needed to lead, he needed to fight, he needed to be responsible.
Although deep down he knew that he was never fit to become a leader, he never saw himself as someone that would lead 5 other men.
Heck, he didn't even have enough time to actually grieve for his fallen comrade.
He was still in denial, he was still angry.
He has been spiraling in the stages of grief, but he never made it to the last stage.
Acceptance.
He couldn't accept the death of his leader, of his brother, of his best friend.
Maybe someday he can, maybe someday he'll accept what was Kiho's fate.
Maybe he just needed time to think?
Or maybe, he needed to do this.
He drew in the sand for a couple more minutes before making the executive decision of doing what Amah had asked him to.
Erase Ko Nari's memories.
The words lingered in his mind, not too much to make him want to shut it off like Chio to his mother, though.
But enough to bother him, to keep him awake at night and to make him zone out in the morning when Mama is serving breakfast.
He finished the last bottle before standing up and walking towards Nari's house.
It was just a cottage by the shore, it wasn't too big nor too small. Just the right size for raising a kid.
He knocked anxiously, even when he'd drunk 14 bottles of beer, it was still not enough to drown the guilt that slowly overtook him.
The door opened, revealing Nari that held a small baby boy in her hands.
Before she could say anything, he spoke. I'm sorry.
I did it.
Amah just sat quietly, nodding before he excused himself.
He sat in his bed, a heavy feeling in his chest. He had just erased Wang Kiho and Wang Yuze from Wang—Ko Nari's brain.
He left Yuze in an orphanage, which was what Amah had instructed him to do.
He felt the guilt of doing it, and so, that night he slept in his Hyung's bed and wore his old sweater.
Morning came, but this time it felt oddly, cold, perhaps colder than it already was.
He left, Aiguo stood from the door, a serious look plastered on his face.
He looked at him confused, not knowing as to who he was pertaining to.
Diyu, he left.
Aiguo repeated, but this time slowly. Bohai sat for a few minutes before running into Diyu's room, or what was left of his room.
It was empty, the warmth that once came from it was now gone. The room felt cold, empty, lonely.
As if no one slept there in the first place.
Bohai let himself fall to the floor.
Selfish, he thought.
Diyu was selfish for leaving him.
But then again, it's the only act of selfishness he ever did in his life.
He remained sitting on the floor, crying once more as he thought to himself.
What did I ever do to you all, to make me suffer this much pain?

He stood smiling, staring at him from the kitchen door. It was 5 am and he had just came back from the market, he was making breakfast for everyone, like he always had.
You know you're not obliged to cook for us, right?
He shook his head as he continued to chop the garlic, I like cooking for you. Coffee?
Kiho walked towards him and took the coffee from the machine.
Why? You're just tiring yourself.
It all vanishes whenever I see your happy faces, Diyu smiled genuinely, thinking about how he was satisfied with just the simple thank you's of everyone.
The room was soon filled with the drowsiness of Xiaokai and Chio, the occasional whining of Bohai as to why he couldn't eat pop tarts in the morning, the laughing of Manchu, the silence of Minzhe, the yawning of Genjo and the sipping of coffee of Aiguo.
Everything looked the way it always had, the way Diyu has always liked it.
Mama, another serving pwease! Xiaokai asked with his mouth stuffed with food making everyone laugh at the young boy.
Xiaokai, how many times do I have to tell you? Diyu trailed off.
Don't speak when your mouth is full! Diyu and Xiaokai said at the same time, making the boy laugh.
But your cooking is just too good! Diyu gave him another serving, and thus their morning routine was completed.
The warmth that everyone once had was soon replaced when Diyu felt the cold breeze hit his cheek. He was back to where he truly was.
The beach, the ocean, black, crying and pain. Excruciating pain.
Bohai, on the sand, screaming and sobbing with so much pain.
Aiguo, blankly staring at the ocean, while tears streamed down his face.
Genjo, hugging his knees as he silently cried in pain.
Manchu, aggressively kicking the sand, as he cried and cursed under his breath.
Minzhe, trying his best to hold everything in but failing to do so as his tears betrayed him.
Michio, whailing that maybe, just maybe he can fix him.
Xiaokai, poor little Xiaokai that was raised by Kiho, on the sand shaking his head in disbelief. Crying, just crying since the day he found out that his Hyung was gone.
And Diyu, Diyu trying to calm himself, Diyu trying to calm everyone. But deep down he knew, he wouldn't be able to hold it in any longer.
Diyu was suddenly awakened by the nightmare he's been having since that day. 12am, he still had a few hours to sleep. He stood up and walked out of his room, went straight to the room he had always been familiar with.
An empty bed was the only thing he saw, he hoped it wouldn't be empty this time, but he knew it was impossible.
He crept in the bed and laid where he used to be, suddenly the door creaked open. Bohai stood there with glistened eyes, he went straight to the bed not uttering a single word.
At that night, the bed that once felt cramped was suddenly spacious. Bohai and Diyu both cried themselves to sleep not having the guts to face each other.
And for once they wished, for the bed to be cramped again.

It was 3am, the same time he always awoke, but the only difference is that he never slept.
He stared at his bags on the floor before creeping out to go to the market to prepare for breakfast and everyone's lunch, for one last time.
He made sure he bought everything he needed to make everyone's favorite meals, he cooked them according to their liking.
He finished doing so after a few hours, and so he started writing notes.
One for Aiguo, Bohai, Manchu, Minzhe, Genjo, and his babies Michioa and Xiaokai.
He quietly walked into the two young boys' room, planting a kiss on their heads and staring intently at them for a solid 5 minutes. It was as if he was memorizing their every detail.
He then went to Bohai, who was sound asleep on Kiho's bed, he fell asleep crying once again while hugging Kiho's old sweater.
He stared at his friend, at his brother, feeling sadder as moments pass. He was leaving him, all alone. Diyu knew he would only make Bohai feel sadder, and more hurt.
He was making a selfish decision of leaving everyone, but he knew this is what he needed to do. After Kiho's death, everyone was never the same again.
To see the life drain from the eyes of a loved one caused them excruciating pain.
Diyu loved Kiho, more than anyone and anything in the world. It broke his heart when he passed, but it broke him more when he saw how Bohai broke down.
Hyung, hyung don't leave me, Bohai mumbled in his sleep. Diyu smiled sadly, he slowly caressed Bohai's cheek before kissing his head as well.
He went around the house one last time, until he stumbled upon Manchu, who was up so early.
Manchu looked at him and his belongings, he gave Diyu a sad smile. I know what you're doing, mama. But I won't stop you, instead I'll walk you out.
Diyu hugged him, grateful that someone understood the weight of his decisions. You've thought about this for at least a year now, and you didn't leave until you were sure we were all okay, until the kids were okay.
He was silent, not knowing what to say to Manchu. He was right, he could have never left without being sure everyone was at least, a little bit better.
They are not yet okay though, and you know that. But the longer you stay here, the harder it'll be for you to accept what happened. You loved Hyung so much, maybe too much. And if this is the only way for you to be able to let go, then be it.
Diyu felt a lump forming in his throat, tryig his best not to cry, or to change his mind.
He'd thought about this for months, and now isn't the time to backout.
When they got to the door, he turned to face Manchu.
Take care of them, he said.
He hugged him before walking away, disappearing from everyone's lives.
At least, for now.
