"Gods, huh? Well, in Sinnoh, we have a bunch of old legends surrounding Arceus. Though most of the documents and actual written down stuff has faded..."

Maple taps her fingers against the table, scrolling through her phone.

"Arceus is said to be the creature of Sinnoh, and possibly the world itself, along with our Lake Guardians Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit. And Dialga, the being of Time, Palkia, the being of Space, and even Giratina, a being of antimatter... Back when Sinnoh was still called Hisui, the original people in Hisui, the Celestica people, worshipped Arceus and Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina like gods, which I guess it is given the powers they're said to have. Actually, since they used to refer to Arceus as "Almighty Sinnoh", that's how the region eventually got its name changed when it was said to be discovered."

"I loved learning history in school when I still lived there, I've never gotten to see any of these Pokemon in person but I'd love to one day... I used to play around Lake Valor a lot, we lived in Hearthome City so I'd get on my bike and travel down there just to see if i could get a glimpse of Azelf."

"Though, Arceus originally had Giratina banished, apparently the Pokemon was just too violet and it was all alone in a world called the Distortion World. Only able to look into ours but never return..."

She pulls up a photo of Giratina, or at least a supposed one.

"...It's quite sad, really... Imagine being created and you were just cast aside like nothing, any trace of you wiped away by the people that used to worship you... In history, it's said a man descended from the original Celestica people made a bargain with it and attempted to use its power to create a space-time rift to try and force Arceus to recognize him while also bringing Giratina into our world. But, it ended up dragging someone from a different time back to Hisui to defeat Giratina itself. Now, it's supposedly back in the Distortion World, but it doesn't harbor resentment against Arceus anymore. It's actually said to protect Sinnoh from its own world, dragging anything that threatens the region to its world forever."
