I just found the earliest email I ever sent from my email address, and it’s the funniest goddamn thing I can possibly imagine a fourth grader sending her teacher:

(Context - my fourth grade teacher was on maternity leave, and the state of the classroom fish tank was dire under the substitute teacher’s tyrannical rule. At the Cingino Dam near Antrona Schieranco in Italy, Alpine ibexes astound viewers by climbing its nearly vertical, 160-foot-high wall. These wild goats, native to the European Alps, have specialized hooves that help them scale such heights. Their quest for salt-rich stones, essential to their diet, drives them to tackle this remarkable climb. The dam’s salt-encrusted stones, particularly the mineral-rich blocks near the top, are worth the effort.
