💮 – {Satya is acutely aware of the hummingbird that’s desperately trying to flap its way out from her ribcage. Her nose brushes against Fareeha’s, breath hitching in her throat. “Perhaps...” She murmurs, her breath feather-light against the other’s skin. There’s a burning heat that blooms in her core, the fire licking her insides as it tries to burst from her. The only thing that seems to cool the embers within her are the hesitant, but gentle touches that Fareeha has on her.

She wants to clear her throat. But being this close to the other has her stock-still. As if one jostle would swallow this moment into the infinity of what could’ve been. She finally manages to find her words, but her amber eyes aren’t quite able to focus as she whispers, “Then perhaps... we’re not... meant to be friends...” Satya slides a gentle hand into Fareeha’s silky hair, fingertips brushing against the golden beads. as she cups her face and seals the deal.

Fareeha’s lips are softer than she would’ve expected. Satya’s eyes flutter shut as she drinks in the moment, savoring the emotions and feelings that seep into her as she presses herself against the other woman. Static seems to crackle in her ears and flare up in the back of her head, leaving everything fuzzy. }

🐰 -- { && I would say that it’s evolved. I haven’t had Symmetra for very long, but already I’m starting to get a better grasp of her than I had when I first started this blog. I’ve played characters with similar aspects to Symmetra before, especially in terms of mannerisms and choice of vocabulary, but being able to have that and combine a little imagination with hard-light manipulation is really great, and I love it! }

💮 – { Her usual tone of voice and choice of vocabulary are far too formal for the colloquial mannerisms that Junkrat has adopted. She has to admit, his impression of her was a little more spot on than she would’ve thought. It takes her a moment to really adopt his accent, “Oi! Do you know who yer talkin’ to? I’m King Jamison Fawkes the Third! I do whatever pleases me, which involves blowing everything up if it doesn’t suit me!”Her expression is a little grimaced, like how he usually squints or shapes his smile into something demonic. “If something didn’t go roight, it’s because I didn’t put enough C4 into it!” The screechiness that her vocal chords have to pitch themselves to hurt a bit, and she coughs, dropping back to her usual tone. “Your accent and mannerisms are impossible.” }

McCree shot her a look, then returned to his pacing, spurs still clinking. He stared out the window, his eyes darting around, taking in the alleys, the rooftops, whatever he could see.

He sighed. This wasn’t normal, they didn’t send Jesse McCree to pick up some bit of machinery, even if it was important, there was something more to this, he knew it.

McCree sighed again, turning to face her, “Sorry, I’m just on edge, this towns dangerous” He told her, “What’re we picking up again, exactly?” He asked, having not paid any real attention to that part of the brief. “And why do you need a guard?”

💮 – { It takes quite a bit more willpower than she expects to resist rolling her eyes. Pulling up her holovid she flips it over so McCree can see the instructions and diagrams labeled on the opaque screen. “We are here to retrieve some data from LumériCo due to my company’s current partnership and contract with them, as well as retrieve a replacement photon projector because someone was being reckless on our last mission.” She directs her glare at McCree once more. Why Winston insists that they partner up is beyond her.  He’s been nothing but trouble so far.

“The photon projector has yet to be assembled, but the reason why I need a ‘guard’ as you dub yourself, is because of the sensitive information that LumériCo will be giving to me to look over and forward to Vishkar.” Satya switches off the screen to the holovid and pockets it. Perhaps the reason why Winston keeps partnering them is because McCree is experienced- but she has yet to see it. “I’m perfectly capable of defending myself, but Winston insisted that you come along.”

Or maybe it’s because he’s the only one who happens to be free for a mission when she needs him. Either way, she’s at least grateful that she’s not out here in Dorado alone. But, the extent of her gratitude is growing shorter and shorter by the minute. “Once everything has gone according to plan, then we shall be clear to depart and relax for the evening.” By the tone of her voice, she’s absolutely aching for a little bit of relaxation. }

💮 – { Satya leans her head against the cool glass of the window. The pristine clarity of it is soon ruined by the smear of her skin pressed against it. She sighs, straightening her posture as the fog of her breath spreads over the paned glass. The summer nights here in Dorado remind her of Hyderabad, the sweltering, sticky heat that clings to her form and weighs down upon her shoulders like bisque or porridge.

It’s hot. She doesn’t really want to be here. She’d much prefer it if she were back at home, sitting on her lovely couch with a cool drink that has a crisp tang to it. She can almost imagine that she can hear the clink of ice cubes. Deciding to busy herself, Satya brings up the details of the exchange up on her holovid once more, the finely printed words on cold hues easing the predatory clutch the heat has on her.

From the corner of her eye she can see her assigned partner- but she takes note of the incessant jangling of his spurs first. “Do you mind stilling yourself for one moment?” She asks, bringing the screen downwards and drawing a glare towards him. “I understand that this isn’t the most exciting mission, but surely we’ll be finished in no time if everything goes according to plan.” }
