One Rainy Night

Hobi x Reader Fluff

Description: You and Hobi have been friends for years, but during a horror movie at the theater, you can't help but notice that he is acting very strange, almost nervous in front of you all of the sudden. A rainy night soon turns into the night of your dreams.

You can't tear your eyes away from the screen. The killer is just around the corner and the innocent girl is walking right towards him. "Hobi omg I can't look." You turn your head into his shoulder and he laughs. "Y/N don't be such a wimp! This is super predictable." You can feel him look at you so you lift your head, but before you can see his eyes he turns back to the screen smiling.

Something is off tonight. Of course you can tell. Hobi has been your best friend ever since you were kids. You can read him like a book. He's acting...nervous around you? This is very unusual. You shake it off and continue to watch the movie, wincing at the jump scares, hoping Hobi doesn't notice.

When the movie ends, Hobi looks at you. "Eh, I'd give it a 2 out of 5. Wasn't the best. What did you think Y/N?" You shake your head. "Nope, never again. I can't believe you brought me to this movie." He laughs. "I didn't know you would be so jumpy. I'm sorry Y/N please forgive me." You shake your head and stand up. "Oh no, this is unforgivable Hobi I'm sorry." You start to walk down the stairs of the theater and out the door. It doesn't take long for Hobi to follow you. "Awe come on, you can't be mad at me Y/N." He grabs the loop of your mini backpack and you stop and turn around to him.

He's making a pouty face. "Oh stop that! You're pathetic come on Hobi, let's go home." After all these years and that face still gets you. He's always had an effect on you.

You walk out of the theater and are met with heavy rain and thunder. "Awe Hobi I didn't bring an umbrella." You frown and look up at him. He smirks. "I guess we have to make a run for it." He starts running towards the car. "Oh my God, wait up! You're crazy!" You start running after him smiling from ear to ear. It's always been this way with Hobi. He was the light of your life. There is nothing you couldn't do with him by your side. He was your other half.

He made life...fun.

You catch up to him and he reaches his hand out behind him and you grab it. He turns back and smiles at you. Yeah, life wouldn't be fun without him. He was your ray of sunshine.

You finally reach the car and he opens your door for you. You bow your head. "Why thank you, you're such a gentleman." "Anything for you, pretty lady." He smiles. Your stomach fills with butterflies. He gets in the car and you look at each other and immediately burst into laughter. You're both completely soaked.

"And that is bad idea number two of the day. What's next, are you going to say we should go skydiving?" You laugh. "Actually..." You glare at him. "Ahh! I'm joking, don't kill me." You smirk and look out the window.

You catch him looking at you in the reflection and you turn back to look at him. He doesn't look away, but just gives you a small smile. "What?" You say getting a little flustered. "Nothing, you're just really pretty Y/N. That's all."

You blush. It's not unusual for you to compliment each other, but the way he was looking at you made you really nervous. For some reason, this whole thing seemed a little intimate. He doesn't stop looking at you and you can feel your face getting redder by the second. "You're really cute when you're flustered yanno." You look down. "Hobi, you better stop it." He laughs and seconds later uses his index finger to bring your chin up so that you're looking at him again.

"I'm not sure if this is a bad idea or not, but maybe I might be going three for three." Before you can say anything, he leans in and places a soft, subtle kiss on your lips. Your entire body fills with sparks before you can even process what just happened. He pulls away and looks at you. His eyes searching yours for some kind of reaction, but without thinking you lean back into him. This time the kiss is more powerful.

This kiss holds all of the tension that you've had between eachother all your life. All of those feelings that have never been spoken; scared that it would ruin your friendship. As the rain pitter patters on the car windows, Hobi's lips are moving against yours slowly, but with more passion that you've ever felt in a kiss before.

The radio is playing softly and you drown into Hobi. Not giving a care in the world if this was a bad idea or not. All of those years, wondering what his lips tasted like and felt like on yours. And everything is better than you could ever imagine.

What feels like only a few minutes pass and you pull away from each other. Neither of you say a word. It's almost like you don't have to. It's all finally clicked into place.

Hobi and you fit like a puzzle piece.

"Y/N..." he looks at your lips and back to your eyes. "I know." you say and smile.

"All these years, I've wanted to do that. You have no idea how much you mean to me." He grabs your hands. "Don't tell me that just ruined our friendship or anything. I don't want to lose you because of a stupid mistake." He looks at you with pleading in his eyes.

You smile. "Hobi you're so stupid." You laugh and lean back into him for another kiss. You can't get enough of him. You finally understand everything. How it was meant to be. This.

This was how it was meant to be. You feel him smile into your kiss and all you want is for this moment to never end. He pulls away. "Hold on." He gets out of the car. You look around stunned. What is he doing? It's still raining outside.

He comes around to your side of the car and opens your door. He pulls you out of your seat and lifts you up into his arms. You wrap your legs around his waist and giggle. "Hoseok! It's pouring out here!" He smiles and puts his lips on yours again. Kissing you in the rain. How ironic. You grew up watching romance films with your mom and always wanted to have that cliche kiss in the rain, and of course Hobi knew that.

He pulls away and looks at you. "I'm so in love with you Y/N. Always have been. We fit together. Ever since we were kids I knew you were the one." You wrap your arms around his neck. "I know Hobi. I'm in love with you. I was so scared to say anything because the last thing I want to do is lose you." He sets you down to where you're now looking up at him. He cups your face in his palms. "There is nothing you could do that would make me want to leave. Be mine, Y/N. Please." You smile.

"Hobi nothing would make me happier." you smile and he rubs his thumb across your cheek. "And you are now officially three for three because you left the car door open and now the seats all wet." You point to the car and laugh. "Shit!" He runs and shuts the door and laughs. "I think we should go home, and maybe redo this movie night at my house, but we definitely need to shower first." He opens the car door again for you and you give him a peck on the lips before you sit down.

He shuts the car door. Hobi and you have been best friends for years, but you can't help but feel like this is the beginning of something new. As he pulls out of the parking lot and reaches for your hand, you realize that you have never smiled so much in your life.
